Power ups (a.k.a boosters for your horses) are coming to the game in early 2024 with the third path called Path of Terra. Really loved your ideas about racing! This new feature could be so expandable in the future. I hope it won't be abandoned as the Druid training and the rescue ranch in Southhoof..

Right?? I was so confused when I finished the ranch quest line like all this for one little quest chain?? And the druid training has so much more potential :") I would be extatic if they swapped some of those tasks... the "choose the symbol" is soooo pathetic.

Oh god why?! The LAST thing this game needs is power ups! It won’t make racing better nor fix it

I totally agree! This is honestly the first time since like- 2017 I’ve played this game so long. Used to just be around 15 minutes, doing a couple races. Now i’m running around Hollow Woods with a documentary in the background grinding 💀

Ughh I’ve had such a busy couple of weeks at work that I haven’t been able to do any of this, but I LOVE that you’re coming with detailed suggestions. (And the fact that you’re enjoying this update so much gives me hope that I’ll like it too when I’m able to spend some time in there lol)✌🏼

We're getting a similar grinding system for the Winter village but instead of light its winter magic which I hope is a tad bit easier since the Winter village isn't here permanently

What about NOT increasing light prices so much because some people have a job during the day and want to actually achieve something when only being able to play one hour... The achievability made it so fun but now that the prices are so high I'm demotivated again and would rather spend my time on youtube or Netflix. Because I only have a limited amount of free time... The previous light prices were good, but they tripled it.

This update made me excited to wait for Terra Way in January. Maybe we will be able to buy horse food like usually but we will also have option to grow food for horses over time or actually our MC will start getting hungry and we will need to either go to restaurant to buy food or again grow our own food and then in a way cook it to make our own food. It could be kinda like horses when they aren't feed. Horse could be in top shape but if MC is starving, it would affect game too. Maybe we would need food breaks even multiple times a day. It would make players stop for a moment, enjoy game, let MC eat with purpose.

I’d love more colour options for the cats, like bengals and tabby coats

100% especially dead zones like Dundill and Wildwoods and they need a gameplay that you have to run around Jorvik find things ie clothing, tack where you can't use the trailers and exchange for extra boosters for champs or you or horse double xp or keep the item you find as long as you have enough light and you can't do it until you have enough just my suggestion.🙂

I really like your ideas and there is a big need for long term content not just for big grinders but aslo for common players to engage them to get on. Personally I'm not completely sure about the stackability of the power-ups even though it seems very interesting. I'm a bit pessimistic about it based on something "similar". During Moor, FP & pony champ revamps there was also done some changes on the stats system and how they are working. Based on some members of the community mentioned problems of not being possible for them to join championships and have a chance to win. During some explorations of how breeding could work there were also talks about the possibility of creating your own stats for the foal but it could come out in the similar issue as with the championships. So that's why I'm afraid something same might happen with these power-ups. If I had to imagine how these power-ups should work it would simililarly to magic powders. Propably not stackable or not different kinds at the same time, time limited. Yes, I need vet & stable care!

Exactly what would make me play the game day in and day out. Having a goal, preferebly attractive goals, is what keeps me glued to my chair. I played rdr2 all day every day for a while, because there were so many things to explore, unlock, achieve and make. I never ran out of goals. This gameplay in SSO has the potential to be so good. And perhaps, to avoid steering too far away from the fact that there is a main story in SSO, the powerups you speak of in regards to champtionships, could be used in other aspects of the game as well. Considering the storyline is filled with magic and mystery and powers, using these powerups to help escape the dark riders, garnok or whoever the player will run away from (usually SSO does this by putting the player in a race situation. Hereby the mechanics of championship powerups would work with quest-races as well). My point here being the style of gameplay you mention becoming a common idea throughout new and already existing gameplay, so the original idea of the game doesn't get left behind or overshadowed by the new and frankly better and more exciting parts of the game.

- Special Horseshoes + We all know that we have a blacksmith in SSO, this is someone who we've worked with before. What if we take x amount of lights and y amount of (insert obtainable items) and create new horseshoes? These horseshoes depending on the items crafted together have different abilities, ex. Like denis said Shoes that make your horse go faster - Special attributes that can be unlocked from adventuring with your horse overtime + This could come with skill points from using the lights (Like aideens light transforming a horse with new attributes) it could be like a gatcha role, but it also could be like x amount of skill points = y amount of attribute which can be leveled up to like persay 100, with different %s, #s, etc so you keep grinding. - Runestone pieces (would be a new obtainable item) + Items that overall unlock special abilities in certain breeds. All breeds will have 2-3 abilities (power-ups) for SPECIFIC champs. Ex. Gotland pony may have extra speed, while a jorvik pony may be slower because it cant move as fast (chunky.. I mean who said that)

Would also be fun to make an extra archaeology with thus system in epona again

Denis,, this is an amazing idea! i love it so much and hope sso applies this to the game. i actually had a simler idea, but for pets! Ive always felt pets are useless and to expinsive for what they are, and a way i think sso can make it better is by making each pet have a quality that makes it worth the price or, a pet youd buy over the other because ones special effect is better based on your preference. For example, when we still had cold tolerance in dino valley, winter pets could have offered a Ability to have any horse be a bit faster in dino valley, and if you had a cold tolerant horse itd just over all make u faster. Dogs could Bring you things, for example, if you get near a plant for fharas workshop, or a recycable, maybe even the lights! your dog can bring it to you. Rabbits could offer better racing stats (because rabbits are usally pictured as fast animals) im not really sure what the rest of the pets could do. but its not really my job to make sso's game better. but it was just a thought i had a while back. Love your idea!

YES! I love it! The only thing I would change is maybe to assign those different stats to gear permanently (until you choose to change them) instead of having to grind for them every 24h. And I'd LOVEEEE to see having skill trees for you and your horses so you could develop different abilities in different amounts to suit their purpose.

Just a thought: wouldn't the customizable horse skill stats be unfair then in races? Because then only people who choose speed or agility would be at an advantage. Choosing anything else would be useless since it doesn't change anything for us in a race, no? Just thinking. Hope SSO will implement some new things :)

I agree and like i barely get on sso anymore then i get on and want to train then i realize you know what i want to get the lights and it gets me on every day

unlocking everything is a problem in sso bc they never add to expand the levels so players that finish the levels can carry on with more. soul rider missions and farahs crafting also had potential but they never updated it and just let the whole feature rot

I feel like maybe SSO could do something like this: So we have been asking for blankets for horses for awhile, well I feel like if You have enough lights, you could buy a blanket! and every day ( Not every time) you log on, if a one of your horses has the blanket one, that horse could get some exp, because during the night, The horse was warm and not cold? Idk. It would make The training much easier, and If people want to realistic Role, They can. Of course, it would only be a couple time use, so people still to grind to get it. I feel like it would bring a lot of people into the game, not as much as the racing idea And stuff you had, but you get where I’m going Right?

i personally hate the grinding, because running around and collecting lights for hours, not only am i getting bored of seeing the same exact places and patterns, but that being the only thing to do for unlocking things is insanely boring to me. coming from that, i think grinding for having bonus stats for horses are incredibly unfair towards players like me. i usually collect for an hour max and i get annoyed and bored of running around, so being forced to do so otherwise id be in a disadvantage against other players in races would make me go insane… i think racing is in need of a very different kind of revamp rather than adding unneccessary features to the already unfair system. doing things you dont enjoy, find boring, and dont entertain you for hours simply out of force could make a lot of players including me insanely annoyed, and increase our disappointment towards the game… so even though i love a lot of your ideas, and agree with you on a lot of things, this is definitely not one of them. id be horrified if they ever brought it to the game.

wouldn’t the bonus stats just make racing more unfair? which sso is trying to phase out with capping player stats at level 25. people that don’t have time to constantly collect fireflies would be at a disadvantage 😭 and spending 1.5k of light every half hour would amount to a lot

i thought this too. also i feel like everyone would defo just choose the swiftness power-up and learn to avoid obstacles despite the handling, so we would all end up on the same level anyway. its a cool idea tho! just needs some refining i think

The whole system by itself is amazing, it's been so long since I actually WANTED to log on for the experience and not just for the basic training routine that almost felt like a burden. The fact that they made the skills cost more lights just upset me. It was the perfect balance between the time spent on grinding and the rewards we got for that amount. Now I would have to play for multiple hours, which is not something I can afford as a university student. I hope they're going to at least increase the occurence of fireflies or puzzles, but this is quite off balance now.:/

it would be nice if they had different and updated dogs as well! I would love a dog running alongside as I ride.

My only complaint is that it’s very grindy, personally I have a hard time keeping my attention on grinding so I personally hope they lower the prices

Once you unlock the node “The Blessing of Whimsy” in lvl 6, Reyansh will have a daily quest where you can give him 2k light for like 2k horse xp

I agree with your ideas a lot! the activity would definitely be so much higher with these potential features, but I personally would be a bit frustrated with racing because I'm addicted to it but I can't grind with my time prioritized to studies. being a racer is easy since I just need to keep my racehorse happy, but with boosters I'd need to continuously grind to beat other players. but I suppose that's the point so that racers like me have lesser winning chances and hardworking grinders get what they work for

also how your horses personality affect how its doing in racing/dressage so you need to put more effort in races (it makes it more realistic) or even taming the horse!! that would be so cool! also i completely agree with you, if they did this the entire game would be saved, and we would probably no longer have to only buy horses.

Its so true this new hollow woods update is awesome I agree but its set out a whole new world of possibilities for SSO as a company to make the gameplay more interesting and fun for players all across the world. looking through everyones comments it seems like everyone wants the same thing now we NEED star stable to put it into action.

I really am interested to hear what you have to say but I literally can't watch passed the first 30 seconds because it sounds like you ate a jar of peanut butter before you started recording

I still am lost for words in regard to Hollow Woods... I didn't enjoy riding around in circles, catching and collecting items. I wish you could continue with your horse(s) past level 15 (sometimes I can max a horse out in 1-2 days). Instead of creating dragons and other strange "magic" horses- Get more REAL horse breeds. Also having certain breeds "on sale" instead of magic horses, would be nice. The cost of star coins are pricey and then most breeds are highly priced, and it is hard to continue to get new horses. (I'm an adult and have real life finances that obviously come first). There are so many dressage clubs etc... There are awesome sites with a lot of information but why doesn't SSO do more dressage training and competitions etc. Ill keep this rant short. The Morgan horse is such a poor representation of the breed and the coat colors are not accurate to the breed standards. I owned, showed and obsessed over Morgan horses most of my life- very upsetting. (Amelia WoodLight)
