Comedic genius, there will never be another human being that can improvise like Jonathan Winters.

Are we going to ignore how talented winters is this is just unreal ?

Mr. Winters is the" King of improv" and in my humble opinion is a genius. The ability to communicate off the top of your head reveals an incredible mind.

This is why I mostly watch re runs and skits like this. Real entertainment!

I miss both of these guys so very much...Jonathan Winters actually helped shape my (weird) sense of humor, and Dean Martin's glorious singing and presence was a pure joy.

Jonathan Winters was a genius of comedy. There never will be one like him. As far as Dean Martin, great singer and not a bad actor. Smooth voice with sentiment in his songs. God bless both wherever they are!

The names alone are hilarious but all these other fill-ins when he has the character are genius.

These guys had a great chemistry, may they live forever in our memories!

One of my all time favorite comedians is Jonathan Winter and when he and Robin Williams got together things were out of control. Very funny men and I miss them every day.

Dean's reactions to Winters' skits are a classic fun part of these skits, when America Had talent. I think Dean ,a natural straight man, thought highly of Jonathan Winters, "National Treasures" each.

Jonathan was great and so good he could make other comedians laugh. That was the highest compliment. Dean was among his best audience.

My Dad bought albums of JW when I was about 8. I have loved him ever since. The routines like the turtle crossing the road were formative. Robin Wms, Eddie Izzard, Dara O'Briain also rate highly.

Because they don’t realize that he had very little idea what he was going to say or do before he started. The comics today just swear a lot and people think it’s funny. Groucho Marx said If you have to be vulgar to get a laugh it’s not funny !

Fantastically hilarious love love the humor .

When Winters was deep in his act he not only took on, but became the characters he was portraying. All the ridiculous things these characters did just popped into Jonathan's head as he rolled along. I was always surprised that how much control he had. If it was me doing his act (impossible I know) I'd be cracking myself up as I let these imaginary people act so outrageously.

"We swam through the locks.. and then he just flew away". There just aren't many such brilliantly troubled minds left in comedy these days...

I think Jonathan Rivers and Robin Williams are the best character improvisational comedians ever. They just get in and out of character. Truly outstanding performances from both of them. They change their voice, accent, gestures and facial expressions.

Have you ever watched the Tonight Show with Winters and Williams together? Hilarious ,but poor Johnny Carson couldn’t keep up with the two of them together bouncing off of each others’ minds.

Fine great evenings were spent watching this with my parents and brothers and sister sitting in front of the television

A great actor . He starred in The Twilight Zone as Fats Brown, champion Pool player in a bar.

Winters is Supernatural; Dino may be the greatest Straight Man of all time. Anytime I find Winters footage that I haven't seen before, my mind is in awe, while the rest of me has to hold my bladder so I can run to the nearest bathroom and not soil myself.

It was part of his act, Dean was actually only a social drinker and mostly only drank apple juice when he was working. LAs he himself often commented, no studio would have paid him a record-breaking (for the time) 34 MILLION dollars for his TV show if he HAD been a boozer. Don't forget, these were hard-headed businessmen with shareholders and sponsors to appease. And you only have to look at Deans body of work over his lifetime. This show alone ran for 9 years, followed by 10 years of his Celebrity Roasts. Then there were all his records, many of them becoming gold sellers, his many films, several winning great critical acclaim within the industry, and all his sellout nightclub and concert performances. Not bad for a so-called "lackadaisical drunk"🙄🙄
