Nobody could crack me up like Jonathan without any script. Pure Genius; even Robin Williams was in Awe of J. Winters.

bless you, say hello to my relatives in Leiisitor. I misspelled that! Jonathan Winters shaped my sense of humour, and to this day I go around smiling, no matter the troubles I meet.

I agree, I've been watching Dean Martin videos now for months, in dry and hot Alberta. He's really relaxing. My grandmother was born on Malin Head, got a bunch of cousins I've never met.

This man must be the worlds funniest American.

Dean is somewhat subtle about helping him with a little more time by asking him questions, but it's still all Winters improvising.

Fun fact - the only comedian not in ‘Mad Mad World’ was Jackie Gleason, because he demanded top billing on the main title credits and posters. The other big names objected, a battle of egos ensued, the producers refused Gleason’s demand and he refused to be in it. Result - Gleason is the only comedian not to be immortalised in one of the greatest epic comedies ever.

LOOSE. You know there had to be some "structure" to this initially, but you also know that Winters started going off-script (if there was a script) about a minute into this, and Dino was completely comfortable staying on board for the ride. These two were always magic together.

Jonathan Winters did a lot of skits on The Dean Martin Show. I think that i got to watch them all. If I missed one I don't remember. I just remember all of those old comedy skits were funny and didn't have all of the cussing that they have in them today.

The Switzer-Song show But Dean was extremely funny himself, by all accounts just as hilarious offstage in private life as well, according to his friends and family. In interviews, they all seemed to agree that “Dean was probably the funniest man I ever met.” And apparently, he was probably the only one who could calm Sinatra down from one of his tantrums with a well-timed quip or ad-lib!

it would be cool if the original dates were available for these shows. I have other demands as well.

I remember The Dean Martin Show. He had Jonathan on quite often. This clip must be around 67-68...

When I was a kid and they had the dean Martin show in the 60s, always drunk.

I’ve seen a few of these and Martin can barely get through the whole thing without losing his $hit !! He must have gotten along with jw because their timing is so perfect 😂 he just drops a line and winters is off and running

Dean didn't get "hammered". He drank very little. A drunk could never have had such a TV career, golf every day, raise and train Andalusian horses, act in movies, and never go broke. The drinking was all schtick.
