@LucDiesveld it's another fellow that sometimes comes on and does segments with Paul. His commentary is hilarious. He has a channel but I'm not sure what it is. I'm sure they all are buddies and it's all in good fun. I watch them all so it's hilarious!

Wolverine also got ripped in half, but his bisection was compliments of Hulk. Exact same shot and grip used though, so it's definitely a reference.

Great video as always, and can not wait for your take on Invasion of the Body Snatchers! The 1978 is one of my favorite films ever.

I've seen Deadpool 2 more than the original. I absolutely had no idea that was Matt Damon, lol. Good stuff. Another personal note, Deadpool 1 single handedly got me into the "superhero/comic book movies" I always thought the movies up to that point had goody two shoes as the protagonist. Plus rated R with swearing, gore etc. I only wished that Marvel would have went rated R with Venom. They really messed up making Venom not be a brutal, decapitating beast of a character that he is and filled with all the blood effects etc.

Thanks for this breakdown Paul, that was fantastic and wow!! What an amazing movie, one of my favorites. I actually went to see it (by myself) on my day off and this started a tradition I have of gaping to all of the super hero movies I want to see by myself. DP 3 should be amazing I’m really looking forward to a solid trailer during the Super Bowl

Just watched this again on Sunday! After I watched the Rogue Cut of DoFP

Damn. I loved Zazie but I have to say I’m sad I didn’t get Aubrey Plaza… she’s been my tv crush since P&R. She’s a perfect Domino… Although they would be different versions, they would both be great. Zazie has a lucky spunk to her that works in the movie but I can see Aubrey being a version that focuses more on Domino stealing luck from others around her which isn’t really made obvious in the movie… but I’m pretty sure she killed X Force lol she stole all the luck and they all had very unlucky deaths. I feel like Aubrey Plaza would draw more attention to that part of her ability in a fun way.

Let’s go love this movie!

The thing that sealed Deadpool as a character I wanted to see more of, was in a comic: There is a yellow 'thought box' above him that says "Do I still think in those little yellow boxes?" and he is looking at the box saying "I'm good." then another box "Oooh, I missed you, little yellow boxes! What fun we shall have together!" I really hope they finally bring in some yellow boxes, and other speech bubbles, because there are times Deadpool literally uses them as support and cover.

My favorite thing about Deadpool is that he is very aware of all of the multiverse and makes reference to them, including ours. It drove Charles X crazy. Deadpool is apparently more mentally dynamic.

The one thing you'd missed in the breakdown is that in the Domino lucky scene you see that how the cars gets destroyed. The Tesla is taking by the light pole and the Prius get blown up the gas station.

And is so funny that Brolin played Thanos, who despices Wade for having Death's affections when Thanos would literally destroy the universe for her

wow, that parachute scene really holds some deep message and real life events attached to it, very dark.

I own the gun and some costume stuff from deadpool 1 comic con trailer... The mask has magnetic eyes with diffrent expressions. Kinda cool

I liked the way they used Vanessa as motivation. I thought it was sweet. I love Domino. NTW and Yukio are cute. Dolly's 9 to 5 was surprisingly perfect for that scene. 😅 P.S. I agree with about the post-credit being one of the best, ever.

Yeah the term "fridging" is weird. Using the death of a loved one for character motivation has been a staple of storytelling since telling stories first started. If a series used the deaths of women constantly as a crutch for emotional storytelling then that'd be one thing but a single death? Nah it's fine
