I hope but i think father time has arrived. The competition right now in strongman is brutal. It seems the young guns dont feel intimidated to him anymore. For them he is a"has been". But i hope he can get 1 more to tie the great "pudz".

I wanna see Jerry do a powerlifting meet again. Guy already has the american record deadlift at 308+ of 915 lb, based on how this moved I don't doubt he could pull 950 without straps...

Such a great group. All these guys are at the top of their game and are still super humble and respectful to eachother.

@@estelombo It would it's just a different record. Every different bar and different set of rules counts on it's own. There is a record for Hummer tire, Elephant bar, there are powerlifting records for different weight classes, etc. They don't conflate different lifts when it comes to what the record is.

It's not an insult. Men don't grow into their maximum strength until their late 20s early thirties. That guy's still very young and he will grow into his frame, that's absolutely the truth. He's got a lot more power waiting when he gets older.

I am an American but come from Norwegian blood (Vikings) so it's always hard to root for Shaw or Thor. Ultimately, I want to see Shaw take a 5th wsm, though.

They dont need to qualify anymore they've already won and proven they can do these weights and times. The other guys are on and off every year due to injuries and what not. Either way they're all impressive.

@@inertia9325 do an internal forces analysis of the beam if it were cut at the center or at either of the hands and you'll notice that while the internal forces of tension and compression do exist they cancel out when overall yield of the bar is concerned. The bending moments are the only things contributing to the bar yielding.
