Stoat VS Magpie
Magpies are aggressive birds, but this stoat doesn’t care, and he taunts a magpie in a residential backyard. I have seen magpies kill crows and other birds, but I’m not sure it could kill this crazy stoat. The stoat in this video is playing hide-and-seek with a magpie, but if the stoat manages to tag the magpie, the game will not end there, because he will try to kill it, except, the bird is quite fast, preventing the stoat from catching it. This stoat spent a lot of time in this family's garden one summer. It was often rolling around and appeared to be playing, but some people believe this is a hunting technique intended to mesmerize its prey, even though nothing unraveled between this stoat and magpie.
Stoat VS Rat
The woman filming this video thought she was incredibly lucky to have a close sighting of a stoat preying on a rat while cycling in Gloucestershire. Most of her sightings of stoats in the past were fleeting glimpses as they dashed across the road, so to see one at such close quarters, catching a rat, was beyond belief! This rat manages to fend off a stoat and escapes. He runs and dives into the water, swims across a channel, walks through waves and waves of water, and jumps back into the river. Is this rat participating in a triathlon I haven’t heard about? Whatever this is, this rat is amazing and because of his resilience, he manages to save his life. What an intense battle this is, between a stoat and a rat. This rat battles hard, but it doesn’t stop the stoat from inflicting some nasty injuries on the rat. The rat tries his best to defend himself against the waves of attacks, but in the end, the stoat is the stronger of the two. These two are battling it out and the rat is giving the weasel a run for his money. In the end, however, the weasel is too strong for the rat, and it succumbs. The weasel drags the rat into his den.
