For the time, anything really was anything now it's lacking looking at this game. The others get better at that, but loose the fun this one was for the action and stress of "take care of your daughter and find freakin zombrex" No. I want to play a zombie killing sim. game not an atomic family management game.

Yeah until Dead Rising 4 came and you can't use everything as a weapon, you can't mixed food with a blender, Frank West isn't Frank West he's Wrank Frest, you can't escorted survivors, psychopath are replaced with maniacs, there's no timelimit, no day or night sicle,and no bathrooms to save. Don't believe me watch TheNiskellp let's play of Dead Rising 4.

In Dead Rising 2 & Off the Record at least. You can Get the skateboard magazine, get a skateboard, find a curb or lip you can skate UP/Over and jump the moment your about to ramp anything and you’ll fly really high if not in a roofed area. Haven’t seen a single video on it yet it’s a game breaking glitch 😂 funnest part about playing Dead rising 2 for me.

Such a fun series of games. Give the sequels a try sometime. hint: it has crafting - duct tape chainsaws to a canoe paddle, and row yourself thru hundreds of zombies like the most brutal American Gladiator ever.

Loved this game. Doing the 72 hour survival achievement was so messed up. You had to have the console on the whole time. You had to have the right magazines, food etc. I got the achievement. Then my first 360 died two days later. RROD.

That 360 can be revived from that state and it can be fixed permanently by a piece of plastic. At it's core, the RROD is caused by an airflow issue with the fans where the fans cool one part of the 360 and leave the other one to presumably heat up and desolder, resulting in loose connections. That's all I remember about what I've learned about it.

This Game was a HUGE part of my middle/high school, so many good memories.

Bro I feel so attached to dead rising, truly one of a kind series. Shame how it all went to crap in 2016.

The first one was very good. The second one was good The third one was average but still enjoyable. And the fourth one was....no comment. That's how i would describe this series.

Glad you found this game Kev, it's a classic for sure and one of my favorite games of all time! This was one of the early launch games of the xbox 360 so they really refined it and put so much detail into the game! Believe it or not you are only scratching the surface of the game with how much you explored! There's tons of different mini boss physcos to fight who all drop unique and OP weapons you can pick up and use, and the weapons respawn everytime you leave the room and come back. Different magazines you pick up and the different shakes/juices you blend all give you different/extra stats. There's tons of side quests and rescue missions with the npcs throughout the game, tons of unique weapons, you lvl up and learn extra combat moves and other useful stats as you go through, hidden/secret shortcuts through the mall, unlockable outfits and props from doing achievements, plus the whole story campaign with different endings options which is very enjoyable in itself. There really is so much depth in this game if you take the time to play and explore it which I highly recommend you do! It's so much fun man! Hope you keep playing it and make more vids on it Kev.

This game was like my first xbox 360 game is was so addicting, I would pretend to be sick to play this. MY favorite capcom game as well, it has so much detail compared to the last 3.

It makes me so happy seeing you play this! The Dead Rising series is one of my all time favorites and it’s awesome seeing someone just goof off on it!

Dead Rising 1, 2, and 3 were some of the dopest games I've ever played. Then Dead Rising 4 shit the bed harder than I could have imagined. Somehow even harder than Dead Space 3. It shit the bed so hard it literally fucking killed the franchise. Disappointing.

First night in Dead Rising is overwhelming - you have like 8 survivors + the convicts and the first story case.

My understanding is that it's there for better replayability. Like the timing sucks at first, but when its gone then it just feels like any other open world game. To me the timing helps you realize all the fun tools to get, shortcuts to take, and mission priorities to focus on all so you can get everything done in time.

@@demon794 The time limit is the reason I beat 2 and 2 OtR multiple times but only beat 3 and 4 once. 3 has the option to have a time limit but with the map being a lot bigger and open and kind of confusing to navigate, a time limit in that game is too annoying.

You should definitely try out Dead Rising 2, it is like all of the same chaos but with new very fun mechanics

If you haven’t played Dead Rising please try it out. It’s not a perfect game, but it one of those games that’s greater than the sum of its parts. Great open sandbox zombie fun with lots of charm and tons of replayablility

I remember playing all the games that you mentioned, and yes even Eragon, but it was on the original Xbox, and I was playing co-op with my cousin, and yes we BEAT THE ENTIRE GAME.

One of the best weapons in the early game is the Mannequin torso. which is for some reason really funny to me.

I really like when we get together on a classic game, reminding of good old times.

Man this brings back memories. I played this game through so many times. Also its the first place i ever heard Celldweller. Switchback plays during one of the final missions in the underground.

Oh God I know how my dad feels now with the games he played as a kid being older now.

Kev must be so uncomfortable playing this game, Saving people instead of killing them? It's just unnatural.

Just wait til you see the combo weapons in DR2. The knife gloves and paddlesaw are glorious.

This game was WAY ahead of it's time.

DR1 is still my go to example for when achievements actually felt like achievements

When I saw you go into the maintenance tunnel, I knew you were dead. It's such a newbie death trap XD

I love this series. Then they got rid of the crazy people destroying a key segment of the game.

Was one of my favourite games in my youth, best weapon for me was the mannequin body (throw/smash mannequin on wall first). Super durable, fast swing and floored zombies fast. The coat hanger was a very graphic end for them as well! :-)

There's 4 main Dead Rising games. Along with an alternate version of Dead Rising 2 (Off the Record), a little mini-prequel game for Dead Rising 2, and even a weird lackluster Wii port of Dead Rising 1. There's also some weird mini-game things in DR3 and 4. And maybe even more that I'm unaware of. I would love to see you play literally all of them.

DR3 is personally my favorite even if others see it as lesser than the orginal two and honestly I'd love for the series to return after...dead rising 4 even of that was a dumpster fire of a game but I'm glad to see there are others making a return or even joining in on the series years later like how I did cause I never had an Xbox or pc until a year ago and rediscovered DR3 and the series and fell in love with it sad too see it not having been continued

I remember when this game first came out. Me and my buddy sat on his futon and mindlessly killed zombies with giant dildos and other sorts of greatness. The lawnmower is still the greatest mowing sim on the market

With the frying pan heated you can actually do another attack where you burn their faces. Think you just hold the button down.

I don't think I truly appreciated dead rising when it first came out. But after the way Capcom has butchered it since, I definitely look at dead rising very fondly.

In this one you can get a fully functional Megaman suit. I mean a working mega buster and everything. And I don't mean that cheap tennis ball shooter.

That part with the chocobo music was beautiful

This feels like some gods algorithm type stuff cause I subbed to him for his eso content a long time ago, and I just bought dead rising a couple days ago and a video of him just so happening to be playing it pops up

They should do a VR Dead Rising. That would be the most amazingly insane experience.
