I kind of wish 0:58 would play globally at a reduced volume when Victor is awake. You'd still not know where he was, only that he was on the move which is already audibly telegraphed for Survivors. In most Twins encounters Charlotte is asleep most of the game anyway..

Its my favorite chase music so far. Those "stfu im listening to...." memes make sense now.

Fuck dude, it seems that every new killer comes with a chase music that perfectly fits the killer's personality. Obviously it doesn't take a genius to see that but looking deeper into it is amazing The Hillbilly- Twangy. Rustic. Reckless. His chase music gives off the feeling of pure unbridled rage he's held in for years and now that he's able to express it, he can express that by inflicting pain onto others The Shape- Original Halloween chase theme from the first movie. The DBD twist to it gives you a feeling of immediate fear just by how expressive it is The Doctor- Starting from a soft buzz, The Doctor's chase music perfectly captures his power. The closer he gets, the more insane you go and the music grasps that feeling. You hear nothing but loud noises and metal clashing together. The Demogorgon- Its chase music captures the unknown vibe well. We don't really know where The Demogorgon came from, and the music sounds really cosmic and space itself is unknown. The Oni- Similar to The Hillbilly, but this rage is more "professional" in a sense. His rage is more organized and level headed because The Oni knows how to manipulate that rage to his advantage instead of lashing out uncontrollably. The Deathslinger- The Deathslinger's chase theme is my favorite because it doesn't really show anger, insanity or anything. To The Deathslinger, chasing people is a mere sport to him and he enjoys it. The chase theme itself, when playing as him, sounds like a power trip or something you can enjoy, but to a victim, it's the sound of inevitable death The Blight- Falling from grace, The Blight has hurt himself greatly in the experiments and became one of the things he wanted to cure. Now that he's become one of them, The Blight has become a failure in his studies and his chase theme sounds tragic enough. His theme is the sound of a self inflicted tragedy The Executioner: I don't know, really. I haven't played SH to really know what Pyramid Head is, but from what I've deduced, PH's theme is the sound of an upcoming eternal punishment and suffering The Twins- My 2nd favorite. The Twins' theme sounds more organized as well. Because she's protecting her brother, Charlotte will not stand for anyone hurting Viktor and the moment someone hurts her brother, Charlotte will not stop her pursuit in revenge against the person who hurt Viktor. I think all of these themes perfectly encapsulate the killer's true personalities/vibes. If you feel like I'm wrong about something, just let me know

I think Pyramid Head’s chase theme gives off the vibes of the guilt and punishment that motivates him to torment James Sunderland, as Pyramid Head is supposed to be James’s demon in a way. He represents the sins, and guilt of James’s actions (e.g. Murdering Mary, or at least I think it was Mary). In Silent Hill 2, most of the soundtrack tends to have this vibe of hard metal being smashed heavily, which is something that Pyramid Head’s chase theme kinda focuses on. His chase theme sounds a bit similar to the Twin Pyramid Head boss theme, "Betrayal", which also uses the mechanical vibes that his Dead by Daylight chase theme has. So, his chase theme should somewhat share the same vibes as Betrayal, but on a more intense scale.

Great analysis. To add on to the deathslinger, it sounding like a power trip and revenge like adds on to his lore. I’m pretty sure he sees the survivors as the ones who wronged him (Bayshore,the Warden, his bullies) so it makes total sense for it to sound like that

Devs did a good job making the chase music

In my eyes this has by far got to be one of the most disturbing chapters yet. I mean the more you think of it, your twin growing inside of your chest and the two of you going on a murderous rampage. Not to mention your twin looks like a child and the survivors can stomp on the child, I love the concept of the killer but it really messes with my brain from time to time. Another amazing Chase theme Stabby, keep up the great work I always look forward to your posts!

Now there are two sides to this track depending on what role you are on. On killer, you feel a sense of a true chase, as the percussion and the strings violently shatter the silence and you get an adrenaline pumping chase. As Survior on the other hand is different, the feeling of dread slowly picking up and the inevitable result of being found by 2 people. And as you are chased you finally get hit and you run as fast as you can, thats when the music stops, and you hear groaning and murmuring until you hear a shriek pierce the silence and you get downed. Fantastic chase music.

i always thought clown had the best chase music but after listening to the soundtrack thaf belongs to these two, they now have the best soundtrack imo. what’s really interesting is the tempo and use of snares. and the incredible yet subtle usage of the violin in the background to represent victor’s crying. i read from someone else’s comment saying that it almost sounds like Charlotte going after someone that hurt Victor, the rage and protective side of her will go to the ends of the Earth to hunt down that person. reading that while hearing the music gave me chills. its so powerful

God, with the echoing and the droning sounds, the song feels.. suffocating, in a way. Like, they’re everywhere, there’s no escape... How scary o_o

I got into playing twins but in game it’s harder to focus on chase music, love how they have instruments resembling Victor’s crying when Charlotte and Victor were on the run. After endless running and hardships now people run from Victor and Charlotte and you can feel the rage and anger of the years of feeling bashed upon. Truly a masterpiece

I think this is the scariest killer they ever made 😅

This is probably one of their best chase music they have done, so damn good! The concept of the chapter is also disturbingly good. Only issue is that, half the time you won't hear this banger when being chased by Victor and the killer is absolute dogshit. Changes to come, I know, and I do hope. This chapter can be riveting with its concept!

I love how the title card for each DLC you see a survivor being visibly afraid of their killer but not Elodie as she prepares to take them on

Wesker and PH are good but Nemesis is definitely better. I think the Deathslinger also is one of the best in the game and doctor just a bit beneath him.

The first layer is the most anxiety a person can have when home alone

I’m so glad they started doing chase themes for all the killers, if they never did we would have never gotten to experience the fullest potential of Mike April’s raw talent.

It’s all different teams. Aesthetically, this Killer was very well-crafted. As far as programming, balance, and general game design goes... a month later and it’s still in an unfinished state.

That really gives me vibes of Outlast 2 for some reason, i absolutely love it!

This is probably the most frightening chase music to date, because no survivor plays against Twins and has fun.

@@elliswrigley4570 Basically 90% the time you are being chased by a baby and 95% of the time your on the floor for more than 30 seconds :)

My favorite chase theme. The others sound 'actiony' and somewhat creepy but this is the only that one that fills me with panic, dread and adrenaline, just what you'd feel being chased by a killer (or chasing someone too)

With the exception of 1 or 2 killers, chase themes in mind, the twins seem to fit the category of genuinely hating the survivors, vs either doing it because of the entity/its something the relish doing.

1:57 sounds like something from the insidious movie

I know that Viktor is Charlotte's twin brother, but I personally think that Viktor represent vengeance and malice that dwells within people, which somehow materialized, looking throught our chest, blocking the view of heart, seeking for joy...I don't even think of Charlotte as of some bad person that much.

Actually Charlotte nor Victor was bad, at least not from the beginning, they were product of the ignorance the villagers and citizens had. They created their own monsters by rejecting their mother and rejecting them trying to capture them. Maybe you can say Victor's rotten body inside of Charlotte represents how rotten she was on the inside by that moment.

A lot of the killers were actually decent people but became monsters because the world put them through some harsh shit, Like spirit, Wraith, and hillbilly.

the music when The Twins are far is just so fucking creepy

This is like the audio equivalent of seeing blood drip down from the walls imo

Something about her makes me feel really scared n I love it. This is how it should be with every killer

the suspense in music, the deformed child and when she releases victor it makes this scream sound which sounds great also she’s extremely tall and has cracks

One thing that scares me about Charolette is how…empty…she looks. Her eyes sort of look greyed, like she’s been dulled to the horrors of the fog

I can imagine seeing Charlotte dig her weapon in someones head and feeding the remains to victor while this was playing 1:57

I still listen to this cuz I NEVER get to go against twins long enough to hear it. I love how Silent Hill-ish this theme is while still feeling like it's own. The distorted drum-like sound at the mid range tier perfectly fits Charlotte's Plodding walk style~

Yeah by that point every gen, totem, and chest should be done. That is unless you're playing solo.

What really adds to this chase music is the dramatic audio cue you get when you are near victor during the chase. It’s like a loud horrific synth mixed with the chase, makes this all the more terrifying, cause not only are you dealing with conjoined twins, these two twins are efficient hunters. And that loud chime/synth when being near victor during a chase makes it utterly terrifying.

This theme reminds me of Charlotte constantly being on the run with Victor’s corpse cradled close to her. It sounds like haste and a need to act fast. The dark heavy quality of the music feels like the pain and resentment she carries with her. How will she live another day in the cruel world she was brought into? But with Victor physically there, it keeps her moving forward. This is honestly a sorrowful but beautiful piece

I miss when chase themes were actually scary.

The beginning is so dark and atmospheric, love going against the twins.

God, this is amazing. No suprise, though. I think they never fail.

This terror radius/chase music is just that pure "terrifying"!

The music fits the characters a lot, it sounds wild and thrilling as if everything is going awry.

I love how they did the noise that sounds like they scratching a violin, sounds more sinister and intense

Still, still, STILL my absolute FAVORITE killer theme in the entire game, but I don't get to hear more than a fourth of it because I'm one of the only people who even play this killer

Seriously one of my favorite chase musics EVER! And one of my favorite killers, admittedly.

I hear this 5% of the match cause she usually sends the fetus after me

wouldn't mind endlessly listening to this while in a chase

This chase theme is more animalistic than the other themes and it fits well with the twins' lore

The twins where born the same exact way! They have always been inside each other, making victor as old as his sister, but he cannot grow due to his disablity, he was born to be attached to charlotte!

Comment is old ik, but Victor is around 7-12 years old as that is what form the entity would have made him so Charlotte would recognize him. She on the other hand is around 25 years old.

yea when i hear this chase music it makes me wanna put up a good fight and run the killer for 5 gens.

I like how they made the music sound like an empty mall at 3 in the morning

Honestly, this is one of the better chase themes they've made as of late. I really like the far version most just because it kind of reminds me of a few Hitman tracks by Jesper Kyd.

they have the creepiest chase music by far imo

You rarely hear this in game because absolutely nobody plays them.

Ughh I’m in love with the audio for this killer it’s so scary and intense! I also like the noise from the survivors pov when the killer swaps to victor

God this went over so many peoples heads but it’s so terrifying especially 8 metres

I love how in the 4 meter terror radius you can hear voices,thats something that It makes this Chase theme better i think

they should give killers like jigsaw pig and leatherface etc their own themes too

This, Demo and Billy's chase music are my favourites of the bunch. I just wish people ran Demo and Twins more often because they are a blast to play against and to heae their chase music.
