@@Workablefan He's alive. But he'd rather be dead. People within the entity's world are alive but they are bound to go against killers in sequences called trials, and you go over and over and over again. Death is no escape as you'll be sacrificed to the entity on a hook have a fraction of your soul sucked out and have to do it all over again. If your soul gets entirely devoured you'll become unable to do anything then your shell of a body gets cast out into the void.

"he was left 4 dead" actually, he voluntarily went down there to restart the generator, he knew he wouldn't make it, and if anyone was going down there to save him, they'd suffer the same fate. fancis actually tried to go down there to save him but zoey convinced him to not go.

They should have added the hunter as well. His skill could be pouncing, being able to scale the map like the nurse. Has a limited stack and has a stagger duration after using up all the leaps. Like ghostface and amanda, he could crouch, hiding his terror radius and red stain. For the mori, he just tears survivors to shreds. Perks could include Blood Scent: if an injured survivor does not heal after 60/45/30 seconds, their aura is revealed to you for 3/8/10 seconds. Keen Tracker: the range in which you could detect quick actions is increased 30/40/50% and scratch marks linger 5 seconds longer. Prowler: terror radius decreased. Not so sure about this one I ran out of ideas. But wouldn't it be neat tho?

Late but Prowler: Terror Radius Decreased, basic attacks put survivors in the broken state but in return, pouncing while near a survivor gives them a 5 second sprint burst [grants the exhaustion, cannot sprint burst while exhausted] and reveals the aura of you

Dead by deadlight field is like another dimension, that can bring people that is dead, dying or will die or even alive there. Only to be the sacrifice there. But it depends on the emotions, Bill wanted to continue a life of pain and suffering to save others. The feelings of pain are enough to be a sacrifice to that pain realm

This is my best guess but this probably isn't cannon but I think that the entity grabbed bill before he died in the left 4 dead comics as he does with all killers and survivors so when they die they are reincarnated to relive the same hell over and over, it's the same even if they escape

Now that the Resident Evil: Project W chapter is soon to be fully revealed and a second Stranger Things chapter is all but confirmed, my mind's come back here. I really hope we get a full Left 4 Dead chapter, with Nick as a survivor, Coach and Louis as Legendaries for him and Bill, a new special infected killer (either a Tank, a Witch, or even a bunch of them that can be switched out like in L4D's multiplayer mode), and a map based on The Passing, as it's a crossover point between the two groups, or The Sacrifice, to finally give Bill his associated map. That would be absolutely stellar.

@@axaeleterno477 There were two soldiers who were actually pretty good and helped the survivors to escape. They decided to stay at the base and died horribly. Then there was a military doctor who was also used by military like a tool. He was trying to hop on their train but Bill didn't stop because then they would all die.

the first perk is surprising because Bill did sacrifice himself on the faulty generator and died getting attacked by tanks and it makes sense

My absolute favorite addition to this game. Wesker will always be cool, Nemesis is awesome, but having the legend himself, Bill Overbeck back in action and risking his life to protect and save others.

My only wish is that this is canon with the l4d universe, because that would mean bill never died :D
