56 years old and I'm living on a boat. This song makes me cry with drunken happiness...especially when the piano sings. 🙂

Fantastic live dude,they really are
You guys are still fucking brilliant in the year 2024.
The greatest song to come of Scotland. Bar none. Congrats, from Northern English brothers and sisters …..Dignity!! 🥰
Its a very humble song never gets old
fancied lorriane since the 80s, still do ............lovely voice, great band
Simply stunning.
There’s a lot of animosity between England and Scotland, but as an Englishman I’ll say this - you can keep your gas, your whiskey, your free prescriptions and free university fees. This is the greatest thing to EVER come out of Scotland, and I’ll fight to the death to keep Scotland in the UK so that I can keep some tenuous link to being part of this song. Best song ever written. EVER.

plenty of english bands to follow ! or other non english bands ?
I feel so lucky and privileged to say ive been around and following Deacon Blue since the 80's. Amazing band live. Loaded fore is my favourite. Dignity is an absolute timeless classic. All ages know it.❤️
Seen them twice in concert - Wembley 1990 and Barcelona 2018. Brilliant band !. RR maturing like a fine wine
And there she is again ….. another of Scotlands so underrated talents ma Lorraine , such amazing vocals xxxx😢
I'm 35 and just discovered this amazing band today 🍀
What a beautiful woman ans singer she is ❤
Kept me going when I had to work.. Every hour I could with some awful people no respect just a joke but now I own my own life my house my car and I get to share it with my beautiful wife....
Great band live seen them six times in 25 yrs..
Saw them in Sydney this year…one of the best gigs I’ve been too. Had tears in my eyes
Live !!!!! Proves the talent can never be matched
Brought up with Deacon blue 🏴 1980 hopefully many years still 2 come 🙏
There is nothing wrong with collecting litter from the gutter. It’s an honest job. The chap in the town I live In who does it is hard working, polite and always doing it. I wish everyone knew what hard work was like he does.
Never gets old.
Still giving me goosebumps now. Absolutely brilliant 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
This band are awesome....been a fan since they started and never looked back seen them loads of times ...great memories with my Walkman riding on my bike round Cornwall awesome💙💙💙
Iconic voices
Best song ever written ❤
Completely takes me back. Reminds me of a train journey from Uni in Newcastle-upon-Tyne to my (then) girlfriend in Carlisle where a bunch of girls invaded my carriage convinced I was you in my dungarees. I enjoyed myself.
I❤DEACON BLUE
Kudos to the piano / keyboard player love this song
Seen this show in the Echo arena Liverpool with my daughter and her fella. He’d never really heard a lot of what they’d recorded. But was blown away with there performance. So much so he lost his phone in the excitement . He had to go back to the venue ,whilst we went back to the car. Most leaving the venue were families all singing mr blue sky. A great night.
Lorraine Ross defines this band in a way that no other backing singer does
Great band !!!
Great song. One of my altimeter favourites.
Brilliant
This is describing me to a tee and seeing them sing this live in Cardiff made me realise my life really isn’t that bad! My music was/is the 80’s and what a time to be alive and a teenager
After 20 years working in fife and port Glasgow are you joking love it 👍
Makes you feel so happy
Never grows tired! ❤
We need them to come and play at The Piece Hall this summer!!!
Absolutely nailed it.
Have to say I missed this song somehow when it came out in ‘93😮But since I’ve discovered it in the past few weeks I’ve been playing it non stop 24/7, it’s just beautiful plus She’s the one!! I was aware of Karl Wallinger in the early to mid ‘80’s in The Waterboys but not too familiar with World Party. Typical😮Karl Wallinger a very talented musician gone too soon RIP from Ireland.
Brilliant. Thanks for sharing.
Class…is timeless
So happy to have been following this band since 80s still going strong talented good people ❤
I'm so hoping to come see you with my 2 sons in Liverpool this summer. I've never had the chance until now, Deacon Blue was always the theme in our house in the 80s an beyond. I just never got chance to see you. Maybe this Yr 🙏

Born 1987 classic 🎉
Sottish bands are truly amazing and I'm not a Scot, best show I have ever seen... the "Marmalade" 1974 I think. These guys are up there with Big Country, Simple Minds and Lulu!!!
💕 love the lyrics and song ❤

Tremendo tema!!!!! ❤
Where is 1080p ???
Brave, using an original M1 on stage at its age.
😘 Barbara
I forgot Franz Ferdinand!
Deacon Blue wasted on the V Festival, should have been headliners at Glastonbury.!
A Working class anthem
What a song, what a band!! But why are the crowd so far away, it generates no atmosphere
It felt unappreciated...

Such a beautiful song and lovely lyrics. I bought Raintown several decades ago and it’s still one of the greatest albums I own. Great to see they’re still touring and hopefully inspiring a new generation.
