Was about to say the same. Camping out the camper is tiring and that game was gone anyway. Intelligent decision to concede and save his energy. The mindgames of it also play a part.

I'm just going to say, DDee also uses "Steve" (more specifically, Alex) and knows what it's like to suffer for a character who is fast and uses timeout to his advantage. Also, people complain about DDee for using Steve, but people "side with Sonix with his Sonic" only when it's against Steve, knowing that Sonic, within the SSBU community, is just as annoying. Which always seemed stupid to me, knowing how Sonix is with Sonic. XD

I'm just saying, a 1 minute timer reduction would save so much time for everyone

Honestly that would make it worse, there aren't that many people who time people out. But more people will want to since there will be less time.

I feel bad for Sonix tbh, being upsetted like this while being seen as the villain of the competitive scene (hate the character not the player) obviously it would make you salty as heck. He could have handled the situation better (like not using twitter when you are salty) but is understandable and not as bad as most people make it seem

What’s weird is that Sonix was actually ahead in game 2 until he SD’d. I think that one SD (into being timed out) made him tilted for the entire rest of the set. Props to DDee for capitalizing. Not getting tilted is absolutely a skill and Sonix was simply less skilled lmao

i really don't think it was ragequit in this case. Sonix sometimes is really hipocrate and do salty shit, but just like Ddee acknowledges the fact he can't win on game 3, bc in this mu being down a full stock is rough, Sonix did this on the final game. It seems sonix already conceded bc both stand up on same time, he just unplug his controller like every player do at the end of the set.

I’m just going to say it. I like watching the video game. Not when sonix plays though. Timing out Leo is corny. Beating Leo is not. Glutinous plays slow, but he beat Leo at pound fair and square no time out necessary. Watching sonix get timed out would have been boring as hell if it wasn’t for DDee taunting and t bagging. DDee you’re my hero

This was kinda unfair for Sonix, on his stream he said the crowd was pretty loud and distracting since they were literally behind him. Sonix also said that the crowd was coaching Ddee telling him not to do this or that. IMO not as great of a time out as what Leo did because of those factors.
