Thanks Roger, yeah these overview videos take a ridiculous amount of time to do right...I make my cockpit workflows when I cover a DCS aircraft, but then I have to make one of these overview videos before I get into the flows, so it's like a double whammy when I make DCS content. I actually have a few other flows for airplanes completed that aren't released because I haven't made an overview video for it yet LOL

This is your best one yet. I’ve used your videos for years - Sometimes I wished there was more info on flying and engine management (the startup, takeoff and landing stuff was great, don’t get me wrong) but with the extra info on the fuel system, this video is especially good!

Bit of trivia for you. Guy Gibson (leader of the Dambusters raid) was killed in a Mossie over Holland. Some say it was enemy fire, others suggest he was unfamiliar with the Mossie and couldn't find the fuel tank switches. Strangely enough I had a conversation with an elderly work colleague whose Great aunt had worked at Scampton when Gibson was there. She wasn't very complimentary.

Contra-rotating propellers vs. single rotation direction (terminology?). It seems to me that the torque balance of contra-rotating propellers is offset by directional instability induced by the airflow, requiring huge barn-door horizontal stabilizers for single-rudder planes, or twin rudders/stabilizers. One of the fixes for early B-26 Marauder issues was enlargement of the horizontal stabilizer. From a logistical point of view, not having to stock engines, propellers etc. with different rotations is a big plus. But I was wondering whether there are also handling airspeed etc advantages to this configuration. Part of the Mosquito’s speed might be attributed to the lower drag of a smaller horizontal stabilizer.

Great introduction to the aircraft and your tutorial series on this beautiful aircraft. May I request you not leave the aircraft codes as the default 001 as you did at one point if at all possible? It’s a bit of an immersion breaker. Otherwise 10/10. Great coverage of fuel management, feathering, fire extinguishers and so on. Many thanks Requiem.

Does the Mossie feel a bit slow to you? I saw someone doing a speed comparison with all of the warbirds in DCS, and the Mossie only maxed out at around 367mph at about 18,000ft. Seems especially slow for a Mossie, which should exceed 400mph for most variants. The Tsetse and NF models are slower. The FB Mk VI should exceed 400mph.
