    Once again, best explanation on youtube for how to do this. Not only do you explain what has to happen, but you also show how to do it, how to read the various indicators to know you're doing it correctly, and the why you're doing it.

    This is an OUTSTANDING series of tutorials. Not irrelevant to call them manual :) Love your patience, explaining details, and great showing the procedures in action.

    I want to give this video more thumb-ups... thummmm-bssss up. I like it, more than a little. But seriously, your presentation style is excellent; very direct and without filler, hems and haws; every sentence full of useful information, much of which I had absolutely no idea, and I've been flying the Hornet for over a year now and my main aircraft; very enriching and enlightening for me. I am looking forward to the next video in the series and all others as well.

    Thanks for the feedback DerOrso, my DCS content is not really known by the DCS community at large as I don't post about it on official forums or Discord so generally it doesn't get watched much. People find out either by word of mouth or somehow through a KZread search. I always try and minimise the useless stuff that pads video length so you only get what you need, but since I have a real life flying job and my videos are reviewed by SMEs before they go public it takes me longer to make content than others out there. I'd rather do great content slowly than below average content more often! :-)

    @@RequiemsACTL I'll tell you what, if you are okay with it, I will post links to your videos in the tutorial section of the ED/DCS forums. Honestly, they could use an example of good quality tutorials. I would rather wait for quality. There is nothing wrong with presenting the state of a module on release. But nothing bugs me more that "first look" videos, and tutorials which *never* get updated, although substantial changes have been made. Such videos are about as valuable is the mono-syllable comments, "FIRST!". That's why I appreciate your videos so greatly; the effort you put in to make them valuable, shows. Thank you! I hope you will find the time and muse to continue putting out so much excellent content.

    @@DerOrso It's all good, I'd appreciate it but feel free to do whatever you like! I know there are plenty of DCS KZreadrs around already. I do have more DCS stuff in the pipeline but being an airline pilot with full time flying definitely makes things harder for me than those who can dedicate a lot more time to it. Either way I'm just glad to have the real life flying and instructional background to fall back on when making this stuff :-) I'm absolutely with you though...I'm not a fan of being "first" with clickbaity type content. I'd rather do it right even though it takes longer.

    You could have a common waypoint and altitude for meeting up, but you could also fly a reduced speed / climb profile to allow everyone to get into position before increasing it back to normal

    I've been patiently waiting for ED to fix the bug with the Hornet's AoA right as you land, which got worse when they added the burble effect. Once that's fixed the next one in this series will be done. I have an example with the wake turbulence turned off but I would rather demo it with the burble for obvious reasons

    I barely notice it. When I fly I don't use that window, but I turn it on in the replay for the viewer's benefit. In some of the jets I fly in RL the throttle can be required to be split almost a inch or two apart to sync them up lol

    Ibdint understand the point 3 heading in relation to BRC... what is the significance of adding 30? Is the the degree of turn?

  • @RequiemsACTL

    @RequiemsACTL

    2 жыл бұрын

    The adding of 30 degrees is adding it to the reciprocal of BRC as a technique. A reciprocal is the opposite heading so its 180 degrees off, so by adding that 30 it makes it 210 off BRC which is the heading you need to fly off point 3.
