Days was so good and all about family during this time. The background music was beautiful and made the show even better.

That is a beautiful and touching scene. It makes me think of how well written the soap operas were back then. It is not just the dialogue, but the actors´ performances were terrific.

Hard to believe anyone but Kristian played Hope, but here is proof!

What a sweet clip! I remember when Hope left the show - I was devastated!

I started watching Days in 1971 when I was 13. I haven't really watched faithfully since 1994. I loved when you played Hope, Tammy, you did a wonderful job! I miss the "old" Days, the writing, the characters, the music, the charisma, the acting. There was always something going on with at least one or two of the characters lives, that really made you want to tune in every day and watch. The characters didn't have to look perfect either, no designer clothes, perfect hair, perfect teeth, botoxed faces....There was just plain good ol fashioned acting, on a level that we regular folks could relate to.... I am so glad you had a chance to be a part the an era when Days was a prime show... Thank you for sharing these clips with us!

Greetings..i was 18 yo my 1st 40hr employment..in Aug,1980 2nd shift..DOOL was on 1pm weekdays...thats when i became a full fledged viewer..i remember that young lady as the young Hope (i believe i was crushing on Tammy Taylor at the time...those beautiful eyes!!!😍lol)..i cant believe its been 40+ years!!..⌛️...1980 thru 1985 was my prime years for the show!!...a big shout out to all the cast members thru the years!!!.. 🤟😎🤙

Aw, so sweet of you! Great story - Yes, our soaps were our lifelines "back in the day"! I remember how we'd try and schedule our college classes so we could run back to the dorm and watch! I had a blast working with the late, great, Bill Hayes (Doug) and the beautiful and generous Susan Seaforth-Hayes. And yes, hard to believe this was over 40 years ago! Sigh...

Thank you for uploading these clips. I've never seen them before because I was too young to watch DOOL until the late '80s. Tammy, WOW! You are an amazing and naturally talented actress! You were superb as Hope Williams.

Julie's dad, Ben, was as superficial as Addie was back then (if not more)... until Addie met Doug, and her personality did a whole 180. He was a rich banker who hardly had any time for his kids (Julie and Steve).

Hi Tammy! I remember watching Days back then. Your Hope was a year or two older than me, so I always enjoyed seeing someone around my age on my mother’s favorite soap. Thanks for sharing this memory!

What’s interesting is that Tammy Taylor really looks like Charla Doherty who was the very first Julie. Completely believable that Tammy’s Hope was also Addie’s daughter. Days was so much better at this point than when it turned into an adventure story with super couples and supervillains. This is the Days I watched with my mom. The characters were real and developed. This is what soaps are supposed to be. Not serial killers and international crime syndicates.

Back "then", I was told the same, that I resembled Charla Doherty! I didn't know her, although I did know Natasha Ryan who played Hope as a child. Wonderful little actress! Wish I could find her now. Thanks for your comments - I, too, much preferred the old days when the stories were about real-life people and situations that viewers could relate to! Well... except that part about my cousin having a split personality (Angelique) and my crush, Jake, turning out to be the Salem Strangler! But other than that... LOL :)

Did anyone notice Julie got lipstick on her teeth towards the end of this clip LOL 😄 I love Hope she's one of the reasons I've watched Days all these years. I was 2 when this aired and didn't start watching until the mid '80s.

I had to look it up, I didn't know anyone else ever did play Hope. She/You look alot like Ciara. I never thought anyone could ever play Bo either, but there was one for awhile that fit in great. So it's all about finding the right fit.

In the year of '81, I was only 3...didn't start watching Days with my mother until I was probably 6 or 7(whilst I was playing with my action figures(wow, has it really been 30 years,I've been watching)). By then Ms Alphonse was already portraying Hope. As I watched this clip, I was wondering whom Julie was talking with. Read the comments and came to my conclusion, beautifully portrayed I might add as well. Like I said earlier, I've been watching for 30years and something that I've been curious about for the past few years...will they ever release this long lived show on DVD? I think that would be just fantastic. Be well.

There were actually TWO previous Hopes! Before me, there was Natasha Ryan who played Hope as a young child to about age 8 and then around a year after her departure from DOOL, producers decided to bring Hope back having aged significantly! I played Hope as a 15-16 year old before they brought Kristian Alfonso on who has played her ever since. Good times! Thanks for watching!

Tammy, I thought you were awesome as Hope! I was very disappointed when you departed the show. Days was so much better then! It must have been thrilling to work with Susan and Bill. What was acting along side Brenda Benet like? Days had such great actors and actresses during this time period. It would be neat If you came back as Hope or another character!

Aww, thanks Randy! It was absolute heaven working with Bill and Susan (about whom I was warned was a "b**ch on wheels") - We ended up getting along splendidly! Being an old song and dance man, Bill and I loved to share a time step offstage between takes! And Brenda - Oh Brenda. She was the epitome of grace. She had the most tender, loving way about her - just the way she would put her hand on my shoulder, or stroke my hair, on and off camera, put me in her trance and as an actress, she really connected with her fellow performers and brought out the best in us. Her death was a tragedy, and I'll never forget her. I'd love to come back to Days! Still the best daytime drama EVER!

@@TammyTaylorTV Today marks 40 years since Brenda passed and the moment I saw her work, I became a fan instantly. I was sad when I heard about her death and all the tragedy that she endured. I truly hope that she's at peace now.

I just don't think this Hope would have been a match for Bo.

@@andrewzambella5023 Nope. Natasha didn’t play Hope as a baby. She was 5 when she started on Days. There two actresses before her. Kristina Osterhout played Hope Jan-Aug 1974. Kimberly Joy Weber was baby Hope Oct 1974 to April 1975. The character SORASed from 1 to 5 years when Natasha started in the summer of 1975.

I always hated Hope as a character and never knew she was played by another actress. Maybe I would have actually liked this version of Hope.
