@@jerbar1280 I played Far Cry 3 or 4 in co-op with friends. They would get easily bored or distracted. While we would setup an ambush, if it took too much time, one would shout:"Grenade!" and throw one in, triggering the fight. Another one tried a stealth kill with the bow and arrow, except he had the fire arrows equipped. You can guess that the screams of the burning man alerted the others. And the last one could often be found miles away from the group, running back, saying:"Sorry, I saw something cool!"... It would make for a good "times stealth went wrong" video ;)

Unfortunately it doesn't seem like there will be much too explore. I'm not very far in the game, only just saved Lisa but from what I can see the map is rather small compared to other open world Sony games. You're basically just stuck in this rectangle boxed in by mountains on every side. What's worse about this is that means we don't get a lot of new characters because for the most part we meet them all within the 2 friendly camps the game seems limited to so far.

Ellen with the Orc reference, maybe she secretly wants a fantasy-themed zombie apocalypse. Zombie trolls anyone?

Pretty sure this review actually showed me more about the game than the (literally, I think) last 15 videos I watched, which all seemed more like horde kiting (kiteing?) simulators than reviews.

Why is it when civilisation falls apart the first thing to go are helmet laws? You'd think with all those zombies our protagonist would want the extra armour proper motorcycle gear can provide but no, it's sleeveless vests and backwards baseball caps all the way. He was probably right to ditch the hi-viz vest though.

Perhaps for things like the Walking Dead people are afraid if they are wearing helmets when they die they'd be too difficult to kill when they become a zombie and they dont wanna be the one to kill more survivors

The Stand (book version) adressed that very point. One of the characters grabbed a chopper and started to ride. All was well until he skidded on an oil patch iirc and he wiped out. He was fine but it scared him because he thought about if he wiped out bad enough but no EMTs were around. He could lay there on the pavement for days, crippl ed, before he finally died.

This is right up my alley. I like collecting resources, I like being challenged, and I love open world 3rd person shooters. The only thing I cant imagine will come easy to settle into is the bike. I generally traverse an open world exclusively on foot but it seems central to opening new map objectives etc... in this game.

Explosions... "more fun than resource management"... makes notes to use in real life...

Thank you for covering this! This game hasn't gotten enough love. It's going to be epic!

From a neighbor to the north, (wa), I can say that even I am happy it's in Oregon, at least games are getting closer to Washington. We dont talk about Infamous second son... we just dont.

I preordered mine Its an honor to start gaming with this game on PS4, great for memories!! Childhood was dedicated to sega mega drive/nintendo since then this will be my first PS Modern Gaming console and first modern game

Thanks for this video. I've played The Last of Us but have to admit I'm not a fan of zombie games and that's the only one I've played. For some reason though I'm really interested in Days Gone. The later trailers really stood out to me. This video was really informative, so thank you.

Here's hoping that the full game is good enough for Luke & Ellen to give this a Lets Play treatment! Loved your Resident Evil 7 videos ages ago....with any luck this time Ellen can get some payback!

Probably the thing that caught my interest the most was just Sam Witwer. I haven't really been paying attention to this game and I didn't even realize he was in it. I didn't really expect a good character, considering the popular thing now is faceless and voiceless protagonists, but it looks and sounds like this will be different

You guys should totally do a list of enemies who’s curiosity got the best of them. So many enemies can’t help themselves when they hear something in the bushes or dark alleys. Then they die or worse

I love how oxbox and oxtra make content based on games for nearly all platforms.

I was so worried about the sawmill mission but I cleared the horde like it was nothing I guess playing all the sidemissons Nero injectors and camp trust really paid off

I am not interested i the game, just don´t like zombie games, but man, the motion capture and expressiveness on the faces is really top notch. Good job!

I'm in the same boat. Extremely burned out on zombies, but this is one fine looking game and I've never seen such swarms in a game before.

I know alot of people feel fatigued to zombie games. But I really love a good z survival with crafting so I'll be getting this.

Definitely buying this game,and especially since it`s the studio who makes Syphon filter,would love a new syphon filter with this gameplay

I actually told myself this felt like the modern version of Red Dead Redemption. I absolutely love this game

Tip: There is no bloody point for you to shoot any close by enemies! It is a waste of ammo! You should and would want to smash them with your fist or your melle weapons!😄🤣🤣🤣

More than Starkiller, Sam Witwer is THE Darth Maul, portraying him in pretty much every incarnation after Ep. 1. He also did Palpatine a few times, fantastic voice actor. However, this does kind of look like an open world Last of Us, hopefully it can come close to it's narrative quality.

I love that its taken all the good mechanics from other zombie games and put a new spin on them. People were calling it a "clone" but when has any game had children zombies in it?? Besides having to kill one for shock value. It's coming out well before The last of us 2 so it should have a fighting chance.

So, idea for another video: 7 really annoying forced LOUD sections in stealth games. City of Heroes really annoyed me with groups of enemies who magically spawn in and always know exactly where you are. It's find when you're playing a Controller (suddenly they know exactly which side they're on, and it's not each other's), a Scrapper (vrrrrRRRRRSHRED!), a Blaster (pewpewpew) or a Tanker ("I guess I'll be here an extra 15 minutes, then.") but when you're playing a Stalker, whose whole schtick is that they never see you coming? That sucks when you're playing a Stalker, whose whole schtick is that they never see you coming.

Looking a lot better than that horde trailer from a few years back
