4:22 until the end is my favorite part hands down. The subtle and not subtle meaning and then the connecting the three “stories” together at the end gives a really great conclusive feeling to the lyrics. Super good video these lyrics will stick now and I won’t be able to sing it any other way LMAO

Dang, this almost got me tearing up. I know it's just fan lyrics but they were still amazing and portrayed a great message. I'm gonna miss splatfests once we get the final one 😢. Great job though!

These lyrics kind of reminds me of death because while death is an unfortunate part of life and nothing lasts forever, it also reminds me that everything is going to be alright in the end.

I think this left me in tears As an aspiring creative, i often forget what i do isn’t restricted to being perfect but fun as well. Its not for legacy, its for the moment. And oft that moment will feel like it lasts longer than what physically remains.

I keep imagining this as an animation with Deep Cut bringing everyone back together after the DISASTER that was the anniversary fest. Your lyrics really bring images to life!

i never listened to this song when it released so hearing it for the first time with your lyrics makes it feel special in a way? the "even rainbows dont last forever, so why do i embrace the rainbow?" with the anarchy rainbow motif almost made me cry... When it comes to making lyrics for splatoon songs, between you and Catlin Koi, I gotta say I prefer you a lot more. While Catlin’s lyrics may be a little more vocally accurate, your lyrics (unlike hers most of the time) actually make sense with the song title and I really appreciate you for that

I gotta agree, except Sally has a thing for making the the syllables of their lyrics actually line up with what is being sung by the idols (most of the time, Caitlin stretches her lyrics just to make them fit) BTW THIS ISNT HATE! Both very talented, and while I love how visually pleasing Caitlin’s videos are, I just ADORE Sally’s lyrics! They’re so beautiful 😄

If creating is what makes me happy, and seeing other people's creations make my heart hurt in the good way, do I have to have a reason? Isn't that enough? And yet, people still ask that question. "Why do you create?" And really, all I can say is this: I am who I am, and you are who you are. We do how we choose, and that's what's beautiful about being human. Oh, WOW. This set of lyrics is absolutely incredible and elevates an already great song to brilliant emotional heights. Every line in this hits so incredibly hard. The scenarios for each member of Deep Cut grappling with loss and impermanence as an artist, where you've created beautiful images that quickly become heartwrenching, are so engaging. "Down the gutter goes my heart and soul" AGH the imagery with the chalk is so clear, and the sense of futility moving into Shiver's section, using the imagery of the simple and unstoppable passage of time, is so good. Then the section with the Portuguese line for the choir is so cool! I adore Big Man's section here (I was overjoyed when I heard this bit in game!) and I love the sandcastle imagery here, which also feels like a very neat parallel to that one Alterna track. I really like the lines "On my knees on the beach" and "Ruin left in the wake". The entire next section is all beautifully written, and I especially like the honest feeling of "I'm not ready for it to wane". Also, "Our songs will fade like we do" immediately before "Even rainbows don't last forever" with the Anarchy Rainbow motif? OUCH. And then the emotional shift towards the end matching up with the image of dawn breaking over the city is perfect - the video editing all throughout this video is absolutely brilliant and a treat to watch, and this particular moment is subtle but so good. Also the line "Scribble upon our still-pulsing hearts" is so raw and visceral and evocative and perfect, moving into the end section of embracing change and endings leading to new beginnings. And to top it all off, you bring back the chalk, night sky, and sandcastles from earlier in the song! So so so good and a really satisfying ending. This was a perfect emotional rollercoaster - Deep Cut finally got their lower-tempo emotional number, and my goodness have you made such a brilliant piece of art with it. One of the best things about your Splatoon lyrics in my opinion is how you create cohesive and emotionally impactful lyrics, and this video is a perfect example of this. This has become a massive ramble again, but thank you so much for creating these lyrics and sharing your art with us all!

Aauuugghhh this gives me so many emotionss,,, like listen it's already very human of them to have this desire to express themselves and be their freshest selves. The fact that this vide gives this song the question of "Why do we create even though we know it'll fade in the end?" And have the end of the song be that to create is to like share our colours, share our experiences. It's so painfully human! It's so human to want to create, to build sand castles, to draw with chalk on the sidewalk, so sing songs that resonate with others. And this song really emphasizes that the inkfish society inherited this human trait. At the end of the day, humanity lives on through these aquatic beings. And as such, these beings will continue to create I'm sorry this went on a tangent but I'm inconsolable at the aspect of splatoon where the inkfish society inherit humanity's desires and how that reflects in their own society fhdjg
