Daybreak at Kismet
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
I realized I hadn't been to Kismet, one of my favorite filming locations, since February after a blizzard. I went early to beat the 100 degree heat and caught an eastbound grain train with an all EMD power lashup. Kismet has all of the ingredients for a great location; An uphill curve, a signal, a crossing, and a 9000' siding. The right of way is easily accessible and nobody bothers you. It's a perfect spot to catch the steady UP action on this line. Thanks for watching.

I like it when the union pacific train had drove into the sunrise. That was amazing!!!!
From Sydney Australia: Loved the Horn UP 8567 blew!
@crazyrailfan thanks Nathan
@12engines Yes, this was the Rock's line to Tucumcari where they handed off to SP. Oddly enough, RI owned the track all the way to Vaughn and leased that last 90 miles to the SP.
Nice video!
@fixierider97 Thanks!
@buslover Hey to the land of oz :) Yes, the ACe's have great Nathan horns. I can hear them across town and be able to tell the make of locomotive.
@SF3751 I have a couple of good Canons. The models are listed on my channel page. Thanks for watching.
@AJ67901 ATSF 3424 is a old 4-6-2 at Kinsley in the park. The 3751 trip was canceled back in November. I took 183 north of Greensburg and went on home from there.
@BNSF7776 It depends on what day of the week you try. I've been skunked like that as well.
@BNSF7776 did you catch 3424? Don't guess I knew they were going to be out here, did they go through Garden City?
@AJ67901 Okay, didn't think it sounded familiar.
What type of camera do ya use? Thanks!
@AJ67901 I was on my way home Sunday. Figured go north out of Greensburg to Kinsley and see the ATSF 3424 and the BNSF eastbound parade.
Seems to me you had a bit more luck with UP. Took US 54 from Wichita the line was dead. Only thing was a high rail. 5*****
