Day6 music has been with me through all kinds of situations throughout my life both good and bad, and it has helped me get through all kinds of things. Seeing you live last year was absolutely the best concert I have ever been to, and it was one of the happiest days of my life. I had so much fun and I felt every emotion in every song, and it was incredible. Thank you Day6, thank you for inspiring me to be a better singer and musician. Too bad I could not physically express my gratitude but know that I have always been praying for your well-being and safety. This too shall pass. Take all the time that you need to recuperate. The English version is written so well and almost holds a different feeling where the k version feels like you’ve lost something and the English is like just emptiness

On the whole I think I like the korean ver more but the English one really hits me in the feels, idk if it’s bec I understand the language or that the lyrics are slightly different. But yeah, the feeling you get from each is different

Yeah, im also suprised when they point that, that sooo make sense, i just wondering why this song give me such a deep impact. This song is much 'richer' than i thought not just melodies n lyrics, but it is the whole structure of the song if i can say it is a perfect build kind a song. It also hit me hard when the guy talked about how it feels so right to have that modulation before the last chorus because they "asked" for permission to cry during the bridge...and that modulation symbolizes those intensely repressed emotions finally coming out.

Someone also pointed out that the last line of the chorus repeats the word 살아 which means 'live', so Day6 is telling us that even though everything seems meaningless we need to keep living

*i really like the outro of this song because it's not your typical day6 outro, it just shows how the guys intended it to be a sad song and it shows what they've been going through* *plus the english version makes me a mess*

Idk if I'm remembering correctly but i think the members also said in an interview that even though this is a sad song that shows how we feel empty as we struggle daily, they wanted everyone to be comforted somehow ㅠㅠ after watching this reaction, i now understand how it could be comforting, knowing that you can let out your feelings in a song no matter how empty you feel ㅠㅠㅠㅠ thank you day6 and thank you guys for reacting to this

It really is a crying song. So many have cried to this since its release. Continued to cry while the song was on repeat. Love how you both breakdown the songs for us. Makes me appreciate Day6’s songwriting abilities so much more. Thank you!

It's so interesting that the melody rises but the lyrics don't reflect that. It started off so sparse it almose made me nervous. Also the texture change, Sungjin's bridge and the modulation messed me UP. Also i am STILL in my feels about this album (Afraid is 😣)

When umu said "it's so hard to maybe find meaning sometimes if you can't see it, but it's probably there still" I felt that yo 😢 Rly made me realize there is always something, always a reason to keep going. Its okay if u cant find it now too, it doesnt even have to be anything big, it can be the most trivial thing. Well brb gotta continue streaming n cry some more lol

Oh this song. I'm sorry this is gonna be long. The first time I listened to this up until the chorus I was kinda let down because it kinda felt like nothing was really going on? Then the texture change happened, then harmony, bridge, modulation, then the ending and it was kinda better. THEN I HAD ENGLISH CAPTION ON and it all made sense. As someone with depression, one line in and I was already like, oh ok I got it. Henry said something about "meaningless life" part having rich harmony interpreted as "so much going on but amounts to nothing", which is interesting. For me, it somehow read as just....almost literally everybody feels this way yet we all still feel so solitary. But how the song ends!!! With the vocals and the instrumentals, it doesn't even sound like it really has a....resolution? It wants to reach towards something, it sounds like it longs for catharsis but it never gets there. I guess that's the vibe they're going for? Along with how the song has a driving, rolling beat of percussion with the lyrics being like that? Life keeps going and happening no matter how shitty we feel, I guess. The scene in the MV where the actor is on a bridge over traffic scares the shit out of me, though, because it could've gone so differently.

... same. The overpass/bridge scene gave me a stomach cramp. I've been there before, so knowing what the lyrics mean plus the symbolism of the scenes. It's painful but being able to watch it is progress, I guess.

In an interview, Jae and Young K mentioned how much they had liked Sunflower (by Post) and how both of them couldn't stop listening to it. It's possible that they could've taken inspiration from that song since both of them loved the song and the movie.

I love the animal emojis on the piano to delineate the band members 👌❤️😂

I dont know anything about music. And I 'm happy to learn from you guys how Day6 beautifully make this song. The way you put meaning to its instruments( the ascending pattern with the need to move forward in living our life) Thank you

If I hear this song at the wrong time of day I will straight up start crying. It really hits too close to home

What I love about their music is how relatable it is and this one is another one. We all live a life with the same pattern everyday and we will eventually become like a “zombie” with the ongoing pattern.

I really love the ending part of the song. After watching and listening to it the ending part will just have you release a deep breath that you don't know you're even holding.

the build up that you explained changes everything. i thought this was gonna be one of the only day6 songs that makes me sad, but i guess they've gotta have a little hope still.

When I first heard the song, I was like “omg modulation!!”, I would never have known what a modulation even was without watching this channel 😂

beastmaster17 beastmaster17 personally, I have no musical background whatsoever so I wouldn’t be able to explain this properly, but at 7:22 in the video is where it occurs, 11:14 points it out again. The best I can explain it is that it’s a change in tone/key, but I’m prob not completely correct. At this point I’ve watched their videos so much that I just recognize when a modulation occurs in a song even tho I can’t explain it correctly 😂

I just want to say that this song hit hard for me. It's so beautiful, and it described perfectly how I've been feeling this past half year (or maybe even longer). I've been feeling like my life is rushing by, but I'm not really moving forward. I feel empty and feel like I'm always stuck in one place. I cried when listening to it the first time, but now it's more comforting to me. It's like a warm hug, telling me it's okay to feel like this, and encouraging me to take this with me and grow stronger. I love it, and I wish a lot of strength for Day6 to overcome their current health issues. They're doing so good, and they can take all the time they need. I'd rather wait and have a healthy, happy Day6 than have them push themselves beyond a breaking point💕💕💕
