I have gotten a late start on training, I am 56. I have always just put enough effort into training to look and feel okay, never optimal. I started hybrid training 7 months ago, a full dedication to weight training, running and good nutrition. I have actually gained 4 pounds of muscle and have leaned out. I am 6'2'" and now 179. BPN athletes and Nick are so motivating and feel with all the misinformation out there they speak to what I need to hear. I manage my work-out schedule working out 5-6 days a week having a full-time job and 3 kids. Anything is possible if you really want it. My running started at 1-2-mile walk/runs and now i am up to 8-mile runs. I have hit PR's in the gym, pushing more weight than in my 20's. Go one more...

Hey guys, I’m starting my hybrid journey and was wondering if this is a good split to follow. This for me is easier to follow but i want to know if it’s optimal for recovery and would like to hear some feedback from the community. Any advice helps thanks! @ARAMZ10
23 күн бұрын
I would suggest identifying your primary fitness goal first. Ie: is it gaining more strength or improving your running capabilities As it’s going to be incredibly difficult to do both at the same time nearly impossible Your split looks achievable however lifting weights 5 days a week & running 10 miles a week is a lot to maintain especially if you don’t take any rest days at all for a new hybrid athlete I would suggest 3 - 3 mile ez runs & 3 resistance training sessions 1 day active recovery to start Then you can add in more lifts or runs to reflect your goals
@moistprune9994
23 күн бұрын
@ARAMZ10 I worked 65 hours last week. Ran 13.5 miles, at 9k elevation, etc. And worked out 4 days. I don't think by any means that he is trying to do to much.. its just potentially to much at first. But even then.. I'm only 8 months into my fitness journey. But 3 years into my diet journey. I eat the right fuel and alot of it.
@ARAMZ10

@@moistprune9994that’s exactly what I’m saying- I don’t know his lifestyle or his fitness level- that’s why Im suggesting start with less training volume and work your way up as apposed to starting with more and burning out and quitting

Love the Nike Invincibles. Ferrari. Aston Martin. Porsche. E N V E Melee. Lamborghini.
I love BPN and these videos! My constructive criticism was I just couldn’t hear the aduio of the speaker talking. When editing with headphones it definitely sounds different than maybe someone using a TV. But in general I just was sad I couldn’t hear him talking in this video
🔥🔥🔥
What kind of bike set up is that looks awesome would love to get one
This lifestyle and type of training is admired by many. What are some tips for those that are attempting to achieve this type of lifestyle while working an average job?
yeah i’d do this if i was unemployed too [he’s my neighbor he really does this every day]

Hey guys, I’m starting my hybrid journey and was wondering if this is a good split to follow. This for me is easier to follow but i want to know if it’s optimal for recovery and would like to hear some feedback from the community. Any advice helps thanks! Monday: Legs/Run 3K Tuesday: Push Wednesday: Pull/Run 3K Thursday: Rest/Run 5k Friday: Lower Saturday: Upper Sunday: Rest/Run5k

@@moistprune9994that’s exactly what I’m saying- I don’t know his lifestyle or his fitness level- that’s why Im suggesting start with less training volume and work your way up as apposed to starting with more and burning out and quitting

Caused by pressure on the pudendal nerve. Totally normal. GCN made a video on how to avoid it, if you search their channel.
How do these guys run so much and not suffer from ‘back pump’ while on anabolics? What’s the secret?

What is a 'hybrid' athlete? Last time I checked, most athletes did all of this stuff! Is the word 'hybrid' just added to attract more clicks? So football, basketball, hockey, baseball players, etc are hybrid now?
