We are both retired and we have a front flower garden and a veg garden in the back garden. We plan to have two big no dig flowerbeds and a wildlife pond this year.

That sounds amazing! We have a tiny pond too. Last year, we had frogs, and we're wondering if they'll return this year and if they'll survive the birds. Mine are foxgloves; I just love to watch how bees go inside its flowers.

@@CreatingCosyHome I love all the flowers we have Alpine flowers, Agapanthus, Astilbes, Alstroemeria, Lilies, Dayliles, Calla lilies, Hostas, Astrantias, Peonies, Crocosmia, Hebes, Fuchsias, Brooks thistles, Rudbeckia, Echinacea, shansta daisys, salvias. Sage nemorosa caradonna, Orvala, Trollius chinensis, Delosperma, African daisys, Cosmos, knapweed and cranesbill geraniums. I will grow delphiniums and foxgloves from seed for the new beds and I can split a lot perennials from the front garden for the new no dig beds.

I can only imagine how vibrant and colorful your garden must be, creating a truly picturesque and lively environment. Sounds like a true paradise for yourself and for the wildlife - I absolutely love it! I planted quite a few new flowers this season too (Agapanthus is one of them and I love it! I'd love to bring more yellow flowers to my garden this season and start growing climbing plants on that side of the fence too. I got some Bidens but noticed that something enjoys eating its petals 😅) and sowed a lot more too. However, in my garden through experience, I’ve found that most of the seeds often get eaten by critters, and not many actually pop up. I'm really looking forward to Penstemon, Sweet Pea, Hollyhock and Cosmos that I've sowed. So, when I see new heads showing, I get so happy

ps. If you have any recommendations for evergreen climbing plants, I would be very grateful. I love ivy because it provides great coverage and it's fast-growing, but I'd love to grow something that flowers on that side of the garden. Clematis looks lovely when in season; I have just planted 'Darcy.' I also have Star Jasmine, but it doesn't enjoy the soil and, no matter what I do, it seems to be struggling.

Ah, got it! I hope my google translated it correctly but I think you might be referring to my herb garden on the windowsill? The water you see is likely from rain or accumulated cooking steam on the window. I actually created this windowsill herb garden using potted herbs I found at the grocery store and then transferred them to a larger container. To ensure better drainage, I added some gravel to the bottom of the planter and filled any gaps with extra soil. The herbs I used include parsley, oregano, thyme, and garlic. I always use the same planting technique, which you can see in my video 'My Garden Indoors: How to Transform Your Console for Spring,' where I demonstrate planting spring bulbs in shallow containers.
