Day 5 - SA Road Trip - Port Shepstone to Durban! [incl. Crocworld]

Day 5 was short, but a beautiful drive along the coast. I made a pitstop at Crocworld about halfway, and it was absolutely not what I was expecting-it was better! The place is HUGE, and they also have a bird section, a snake section, a gift shop, and a wonderful café on site with fantastic views of the ocean. They served the best burger I think I've ever had in my life. I procrastinated leaving, but only because I was nervous and intimidated by the city highways that were to come in Durban, but I soldiered on! I drove straight to my hotel, where I'd be staying for the next 2 nights, just wanting to get settled in and start work for the day.
I haven't talked about accommodation in these videos, but I feel I have to mention this one. This was such a horror show, and I'm reluctant to name names, but it's a "well established" hotel in Essenwood. You can't see much from the videos, but there was black mold everywhere, monkeys stealing clothes off the washing line, broken toilets, a foul stench, no security, stained curtains and bed linen, no towels-I could go on. It was too late to get a refund and I didn't want to waste money booking another place last minute, so I persevered. It WAS a 5-star hotel that was sold and the new owners ran it into the ground quickly, still using the old pictures and reviews for advertising. I learned my lesson!
