Day 17: A Year Facing Fear. Saying no and cancelling plans without making an excuse.

I have a tendency to over-commit and say yes…to everything!
So much so that I often find myself juggling a thousand balls until I can’t juggle them any longer.
Until I’m exhausted, overwhelmed and running on empty.
Burnt out with nothing left to give.
Saying no is hard for me. Sometimes, it’s a case of FOMO, but often, I say yes when I mean no, because saying yes reduces the threat of rejection.
But at what cost, if saying yes to others means abandoning ourselves and sacrificing our own health?
Why do we feel guilty for putting ourselves first and saying no when our plate is already overloaded?
You count. Your health and well-being are just as important as anyone else's. If your body sends you messages to slow down, it's time to listen.
I know I am.
It’s Day 17 of a Year Facing Fear, and I’m ready to look fear in the eye and do it anyway.
If you want to join me on this journey, you can follow along or join the A Year Facing Fear Facebook group.
Until I see you again, my friend. I see you. I believe in you, and you have absolutely got this.
Let’s do this together!
Love, Katia

You're the best. Thanks for joining in and saying 'hi.' Is this something that you struggle with too? I'm glad I'm not the only one.
