Day 12: Ground Attack on the BIGGEST BODIED DEER I've Seen

Day 12: Ground Attack on the BIGGEST BODIED DEER I've Seen
Switching things up, I grab my recurve bow and head to a new spot. I tuck myself into some thick ground cover, hoping to encounter a tank of a buck, likely the biggest bodied one I've gotten on camera. It's an intense hunt with some crazy close encounters.

Jared, hands down, you have the most beautiful videography work on KZread! I can just sit and watch your videos just to be able to watch whitetails going about their business, doing what they do undisturbed. From another traditional bow hunter, good luck! You’ll get your shot!!!

I appreciate that Greg. Like you, I love watching them be whitetails, and capturing it is all a part of it for me. Thanks for the support!

Ur ghillie suit hunt will always b my favorite. I only hunt from the ground anymore to make it more challenging. There is nothing like being eye level with multiple deer n drawing ur bow on one

No doubt! That's awesome. I would certainly do it a lot more, but it doesn't tend to mesh well with self filming! But I couldn't agree more, the intensity of it is like nothing else. Thanks for watching!

Love watching every second of these uploads, thanks for what you’re doing blessing us with these experiences of yours. If anyone can capture just how special it is to be in the woods chasing whitetails it’s you man. On the edge of my seat waiting for the next one. Thanks as always Jared!

What awesome hunt!! Absolutely thoroughly enjoyed you taking us on that journey! Beautiful doe interaction, plenty of deer, and your target so close. It’s all a testament to your perseverance and quest for that traditional harvest you so desire. Your efforts will pay off soon Jared. Good luck and can’t wait for more!

“Jimmmeny Christmas”, “Remember to always dream big” and Jared’s catch phrase “Well, that’s not ideal” I love it! You inspired me Jared. I’m mid 40’s, 4 plates and 21 screws in my left arm but I’m hoping to mix in a traditional bow next year with my compound. I don’t think I’ve ever been more excited

@@jaredmills I had one a few years ago when I was walking out just before dark in the woods, I was down in a valley and she was elevated about head height, she had to be within 5 yards, she blew, I never saw her because I was looking down to skirt this mud puddle, after I jumped and looked and collected my thoughts, she was right there. Scared the living 💩 out of me, I felt the percussion of the blow, that’s how close she was. There’s nothing more scarier in the woods than that, I’m convinced!!! Hahahaha
