Thank you for creating this training. I have a question: As you mentioned, there will be tasks every day for us. Could you please confirm what infrastructure will be needed to perform these tasks, such as a cloud account or virtual environment? Also, what configuration would be sufficient to install Docker or a Kubernetes cluster?

Hello, We will not be using any Cloud as the focus is on Kubernetes and using a cloud service would mean that control plane is managed by Cloud provider hence, limited learning. We will be using local kubernetes installation on Kind cluster and later with Kubeadm installation. Min 6GB RAM is required , 8GB is recommended. You can this page as well kind.sigs.k8s.io/docs/user/quick-start#settings-for-docker-desktop

Great initiative ! One question though, any reason for going for CKA first vs CKAD since CKAD is generally considered an easy one plus there is a overlap between CKA and CKAD. Looking forward to watching the videos !

Thank you for the feedback. The reason we are starting with CKA, CKA focuses on installation, upgrade, maintenance, scheduling , failures, troubleshooting etc that is why an ideal choice of Admins, DevOps, Ops folks while CKAD is mostly developer focused. Yes, there are many topics that overlaps between CKA and CKAD still CKAD focuses on application development and optimization.

I have finished recording the entire series and am currently editing the last few videos. I plan to publish 3-4 weekly videos every Monday through Thursday at 6 AM EST/3:30 PM IST. I have chosen not to publish daily so that viewers following the series have time to understand the concepts, practice hands-on, document their learning, and not feel left behind.

Actually this series is about Kubernetes and we will be following the CNCF curriculum for CKA hence, I will focus on local Kubernetes installation using Kind cluster and kubeadm installation later on in the series. But I will definitely create a separate series on GKE, I hope this helps

Hello Advaith, Docker is a tool that we use to build and ship our applications and Kubernetes is a platform that helps managing Docker container at scale. Docker and Kubernetes are part of DevOps and Kubernetes!=DevOps. But yes, this playlist will definitely helpful. Only pre-requisites is basic Linux understanding
