Can't wait for the full release of this. There's still much more potential and possible content in this already pretty solid game. Could be a little more complex, especially the different resource and crafting flows. More varied biomes, better maps etc. Little tip: if you have the stone for it, make double walls. Greatly reduces the chance of enemies breaking through, makes your settlement practically impenetrable if protected by enough watchtowers. And put up more platforms at the walls for archers, not only at the gates.

Love this! I wasn't going to make more videos on this, but maybe I'll have to if/when they do a full release... Double walls sounds awesome! I always had issues with the walls not allowing more than three to be connected so like ==== wouldn't be allowed and it would be like =\=\= if that makes sense? I should check back in and see if I Can layer them.... I would LOVE if they did more of a Stronghold style wall mechanic..

@@SolidContent Afaik you can layer as many walls as you want, just not stack them on top. I have simply added a layer of stone wall to the outside of my previous wooden palisade, except next to the gates which i reinforced. So far, nobody managed to break through. Also, the enemy AI (which is not the brightest right now) has the habit of always attacking the same parts of your fortifications (usually where the closest watchtower is from their direction of approach), so you can further reinforce these spots. The worst damage attackers did so far was a destroyed watchtower and maybe a few sections of stone wall. Easily replacable all. Would love to see the ability to dig moats, ramparts or add defensive spikes and such tbh.

Aah yeah. DoM in the house. To be fair I want a full season

Bahahah, yesss Fiasco. The only issue I've found is that it's very slow... not a lot goes on, so it's moslty just quietly managing, hard to make stuff happen.

Hey dude, Very enjoyable vid. My favourite since Space Haven - not a dig, just happened to vibe off this game in a similar way to Space Haven. I was thinking you might enjoy streaming the Total War and Civ games. I reckon they'd be a good fit and they have a lot of drama. Huge games too obviously.

Yeah! I am a huuuuuuge fan of those games. I just wonder what kind of views they'd get? Some folks have been urging me to get on to Crusader Kings, I've never played, but thought I'd give CKII a try, see if I like that and then maybe, hey - CK3 could be my start of doing 4x on this channel!

I haven't picked up this title yet. I always enjoy your play throughs though.

Hahaha, well thanks Tzurah! The thing is, I did play a bit of this game live a while back (it was a different colony) and the views were only so - so. The other thing is that this game is a very slow game, so not a lot to do in a video. Essentially this was probably the only DOM video I think? Just because I was already running out of things to talk about? I suppoooose I could always dramatize their lives a bit to spice up the let's plays? haha...

This is such a fun game!

nice village man, the only issue i have with these folks is that the AIs do not grab food with them when they need to go far away from the village. sometimes they also die of starvation right infront of the granary smh =.=

Dude tooootally, I have granarys spread everywhere because of their food issues... And this is also why I wish I could micro them a bit, or set rules? So it's like "if you live here, you work here" or something... Then I can make other little fishing villages and stuff

@@SolidContent they could also add a leader like a chieftain or a spiritual druid guy. btw i saw some of the trees inside your village, maybe you could replace them with service trees, it makes the village looks nicer and it actually produce some extra food. oh and about the cairn, do you think the raiders could destroy it? out of that fear i have it inside my village. and one last thing, check you steam dm :D

woaaah for real? Dude that's nice of you - I LOVE that game.

Hitting the "Enter" key takes you directly to village. Also, you should be able to stop producing dry skins - this will free up a bit of space.

Hey Safkatttt, I wonder what the views would be like for Anno 1800 plays? Because I reaaally did enjoy that game, right up until an update ruined all the trade routes... IT was that update where the ships stopped taking the shortest routes and would go all around your islands to the far ports for some reason... GAWD that was annoying.

My only question is, is this mod available on ps4 and how do I get it?

Hey Robert! So far as I know, no mods being used! This is just that cheese dlc, that's the only thing added - hopefully ps4 has that dlc as well?
