Yes indeed : he is quite mature for his young age

People, this is what it means to be dedicated. Listen to his words... He talks about 10 years! And he says he wants to teach other people, improve, and be a role model. Yes, he is a role model already!! He's so smart. Think about it...when was the last time you spoke about time investment? We all pick up the gym, but we don't say we'll be there in 10 years' time. The brain power it takes to actually have that determination is huge.

We're a multilingual country, there are colleges / secondary schools that teach intensive language curricula, English is being taught as a second language at the EY stage, so most Romanians are bilingual from a very young age

In urban areas, yes. We are pretty dependent on English language content, too: movies, music, games, etc. In his case, as an athlete who is frequently in contact with people from all over the world, he was also forced to speak English a lot of the time.

Well he is following a highschool with an intensive english curriculum. More than that, he is part of a younger generation which cannot be too far away from everything internet and information is nowadays. Also, in Romania, a second language is quite common for young people raised in big cities.

Her tennis is top and knowns her mother tongue. No need of knowing English or 10 other languages, no one force you and is her choice.

Not everybody is gifted with a talent for languages. Not everyone has the same education and the same contact with foreigners, so that they are forced to develop their second language abilities. She can get her point across well enough and that's good enough for her needs and for a basic second language speaker.
