Phelps is magnificent in his version of "He's Alive".

You should hear him sing "Nessun Dorma"

Loved this performance, but I think his best version of "O Holy Night" is the Gaither Homecoming performance. A younger David, and he's wearing a green sweater.

He is just the very best. Your reaction says it all. It speaks my reaction as well. Unbelievable!

Ik this is an old video but I was there that night. The performance was in December of 2016 in Carrollton, Texas (about an hour from where I lived). It was the 3rd time I believe seeing him in concert. Phenomenal like always 💯

Is great as David Phelps is this wasn't a good video compared to when he was in his prime with the Gaithers. I was hoping Nephi would have reacted to that one instead. Positively agree. That Gaither version trumps almost anything and that is saying a lot but it really is true. He blew that event up.

David is getting old. He's pipes is not as big and clean as 20 years ago and i totally understand that as a fellow singer. He worked hard at the university to achieve one of the best pop tenor classical singer in the world. But everything has an end. he can still sing high C's or C#'s but can't sustain it like before.
