Absolutely love him and both his daughters sing well and with him. They couldn't have had a better teacher of music then thier Dad.

I was blessed to be able to see David Phelps this past Friday. He was on his Game Changer tour. His other daughter, Callie, was on stage with him. She has a beautiful voice as well and sounds lovely with her daddy. I will be going to his Christmas Celebration in November. If you get an opportunity to see him in person please do as you will not be disappointed.

Praise God Jesus Christ, God with this voice and talent open the heart of man.

You’re exactly right. It’s the heart and passion that pours out of David Phelps’ voice that sets him apart from vocalists like Josh Groban and Even Pavarotti. They all have talent but he is anointed.

@@julieking7610 David Phelps is a masterful Gospel singer of that is to be sure but cannot and should not be mentioned in the same breath to Pavarotti the greatest singer who ever lived.. I also wonder if his daughter would even be mentioned if she was not his daughter. She could listen to the soprano Mirusia who would show her about breath control. Just my thoughts thats all and I am a Leo so very rarely wrong? LOL.

David wrote the music but could never come up with lyrics that suited him, so he sent the music to Gloria Gaither who *did* find the perfect words. David and Maggie Beth together are truly divine. I was at this taping of the "Freedom" DVD. It was such a thrill and a privilege to hear this song. Maggie Beth has matured and just gotten better and better. Love her and her Daddy.

I was there that night. It was the taping of the Freedom album and it was hotter than Haddes in there hence the fans blowing. The words are Gloria Gaither's and the music is David's. Magical!

This song was co written by David and Gloria Gaither. When Maggie and David hit last not you dang well that the fruit barely fell off the tree. She has a future singing like daddy. If she so chooses. Btw the oldest daughter has a great voice as well. Praise God

I was at the concert too. It was blazing hot in that barn. I was miserable until the singing started then I forgot all about being hot.

That was recorded in an old barn that David renovated into a concert venue so he could stay at home and spend more time with his kids as they we growing up. He has also given other Gospel musicians a place to ply their trade. Introducing people tothe Gospel of Jesus Christ, along with hearing GREAT music. David Phelps is one of the very best tenors to have ever lived, is also a great man. He is humble. He is at home in the great concert hall, but also in the little country churches. He enjoys letting others shine when he could steal the limelight. But that is just not him. He sometimes get a little overwhelmed by the way the audience reacts to him. You just got to love him, his voice, his family. Their all just down to earth people. If you can please do a review of The Gaither Vocal Band singing Vep Ellis' "The Love of God."

Hey Jerod if your not familiar with the story, It of Jesus when he meets a Samaritan woman at the well and asks her for a drink of water, but he is a Jew and Jews don't have anything to do with Samaritans. And he tells her about all the things she has done wrong including her 5 husbands.

The only thing better than David singing, is him singing with his daughter
