I’m a 73 year old woman and I was failing my old age before I came in contact with this guy. I used to be tough but the past few years I had come to terms with my age and I got too soft on myself. After my first contact with Goggins, I went straight to my exercise room and started training again. He truly lit my fire and I can’t get enough of his wisdom.

It's true for me as well; I had the same response to this guy. When my mind fully came to understand all he had overcome in his life witch was a mere 50%of what I was dialing with; my mind had this instant response to what he was saying, and for reason, I don't need to share, moreover, now my body has to catch up to the new way that I think. LOL CHANGE YOUR MIND CHANGE YOUR LIFE.

That’s true but people don’t really understand what his true power is. And to some degree I don’t think he fully grasps it enough to articulate it. It’s choice. He chooses to go against any physical limitations and chooses to push himself beyond any fear his mind and body may conceive. It’s choice. It’s spirit. It’s beauty.

Yeah. People are missing that mental strength. If people feel they want to stop, they typically stop. Or they may push themselves a little further, but not much. This guy really has trained himself to tell his mind to shut the fuck up and just keep going. It's incredible. There really aren't enough people like this. It makes me realize just how weak I am and I want to begin changing that.

I found David Goggins a week and some change ago. Since then I’ve lost 4lbs and cut alcohol out of my daily intake (something I never thought I could do). There’s an important truth Goggins aims to convey: Once you conquer your mind, you can conquer anything. The road is less traveled and there may be few who can relate or willing to support you on your journey. Nevertheless, lace your shoes up and keep going. When you want something bad enough, where you’re willing to put EVERYTHING at stake to achieve it...then you’re on your way! May peace be with all who are improving themselves on this journey called life. We are created in God’s image, nothing is truly impossible.

People need to be people again... Thank you, Goggins. People like him make me feel less crazy... I'm the only one in my circles who still determined to go hard and push for impossible things. Don't be afraid to let go of people. The only one who has really stuck with me is my grandmother. I had a weak moment last week where so was doubting myself because people are asking me to screw myself over for the benefit of the majority even through the majority losses nothing by helping me win.... They aren't helping me and are even making things harder for me... So, I acknowledged that my decision is pissing a lot of people off. Plus my decision has delayed my moving to be with her... And she said don't worry about her or anyone else because sometimes people need to be pissed off. Don't be afraid to piss people off. If you are a kind, considerate person you will want everyone to win. Win-win requires everyone to be on the same team even if they are from different camps. Think twice before supporting things that don't support you. Listen to my grandmother: DON'T be afraid to piss people off. 💚

I can definitely relate to what David says about not caring about what others think. All throughout my life I've been affected by others opinions of me. If someone says to me "You're terrible at that" in my mind I'm terrible at that even if it's not true and it becomes my belief aswell. I've always been far too externally validating and it's caused me a lot of problems, but I'm a lot more aware of it now.

I stumbled on goggins when watching another video a few days ago & have been hooked since. He says it like it is. He's also from an area near where I'm originally from. I dealt with experiences similar to what he dealt with which makes me feel he can really relate to things in my life. He gives me hope that even in my late 50s I can become a better person. That instead of carrying around all the pain that I do I can release it I can refocus that energy into bettering myself & my life.

Awesome interview! Goggins was inspired by the Rocky films. How interesting and cool is it that his book publishing story is similar to that of Stallone's with Rocky. Movie producers wanted Stallone's Rocky movie story, but they didn't want Stallone to play Rocky. Goggins, too, remained steadfast and ignored the publishers advice and self-published his book. The feeling of not fulfilling my potential is what drives me to find peace in suffering towards my success.
