Every Friday night at 8:00 pm he brought light into the life of a lonely 11 year old girl who had a huge crush on him. Forty years later she got to meet him at a concert at Mohegan Sun. He shook her hand and signed the Partridge Family Album that she got in 1973 for her 12th birthday. Thank you, David. I will never forget you.

David Cassidy brought such happiness to so very many teen age girls, back in the 1970s. I was dating back when I Think I Love You hit the charts. I will not ever forget, when my then boyfriend (later my husband) said to me, "I think I love you. " So, it does make me sad, what David went through, because at the end of the day, we are all human, and to be human is to err. I choose to remember David Cassidy as the gorgeous heart throb that he was. I am so sorry that some of his choices have triggered harsh words from some folks who never walked a day, in his shoes. At any rate, he is now in a better place, and I for one, think that the world was a better place, with him in it.

YOU KNOW? Some people on here don't even deserve to make any kind of comment. This is David Cassidy, the best artist , teen idol that has ever, ever existed. He made our lives wonderful by way of his talent, he 'raised' us from afar, we were merely teens when he was a mega star, like no other! To me David Cassidy is my whole world. If every singer songwriter moved out of the planet and only he was left, I"d be the happiest ever. To me, David is a super star, and has no comparison to absolutely anyone else. Nobody is as great as he. Thank God we still have him with us when so many have gone too soon. David please continue doing what you love best. Whatever it is, looking forward to more music from you too, my heart will forever be with you, you're my lifelong idol, the only one to never, ever let me down, no how , no way. Keep strong, take great care and ignore the negatives, you're a peaceful fighter.

I think you are the one that needs to do some research, he was trying to fool everyone, including himself, he admits this in several recent interviews. Look them up. He even admit that he will probably remembered as an alcoholic. That is certainly not how I will remember him, but David himself admitted towards the end that he was an addict'

The comment came as a reply to me on my computer. I do not have more than one account! I have a mother with Dementia, a daughter that has been "clean" for 18 years,, and a deceased father that was an alcoholic. I do not need any research, I apologize, but as I said, my computer said I had a response and when I clicked on it, it was yours. I guess because I have commented on this post, it was letting me know that someone posted a new comment. I am talking about a different interview where he admits he is an alcoholic and that he was trying to fool everyone, including himself. He states he has been drinking since 2002. It was his interview with Piers Morgan that I was referring to.

I saw Tom Jones in concert last night. He’s going to be eighty-three next month. He looks and sounds terrific. Sadly, it wasn’t aging that ravaged David Cassidy’s looks and voice. He was an alcoholic who continued to use until it killed him. David Cassidy passed away of liver failure caused by alcohol abuse. He didn’t die of old age. He was my tween crush. I choose to remember him as Keith Partridge.

I am sadden to read so many rude comments. David has been sober for a few years before this interview, However, due to many years of abuse of alcohol & drugs the Human Body can only take it so far. His skin texture & color may indicate the his liver was now in the process of deteriorating plus his Dementia is gradually setting in. I know he is now in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father. David went sober after his spiritual awakening. He hit the rock bottom, then one day he fell on his knees and balled out crying. He then felt as if something came inside him and he said Thank God, from there he felt relived & his journey of sobriety began. RIP David Cassidy - Thank you from the bottom of my Heart for bringing joy during my difficult childhood. Your show & songs gave me solace from the pain I was experiencing. Not realizing that you yourself was going thru your own personal pain. Your soul has now been set free & all your Earthly pain is gone. Rest In Peace David in Jesus Name.

Beautifully said Angel Pie. God Bless You. I believe you are correct also about deteriorating liver function. RIP Sweet David. Liver Disease - Loss of Brain Function (hepatic encephalopathy) Once you have liver damage, episodes of worsening brain function may be triggered by: Body is low on water or fluids Eating too much protein Low potassium or sodium levels Bleeding from the intestines, stomach, or esophagus Infections Kidney problems Low oxygen levels in the body Shunt placement or complications Surgery Narcotic pain or sedative medicines Disorders that can appear similar to hepatic encephalopathy include: Alcohol intoxication Alcohol withdrawal Bleeding under the skull Brain disorder caused by lack of Vitamin B1 In some cases, hepatic encephalopathy is a short-term problem that can be corrected. It may also occur as part of a chronic problem from liver disease that gets worse over time. Symptoms Symptoms may begin slowly and slowly get worse. They may also begin suddenly and be severe from the start. Early symptoms may be mild and include: Breath with a musty or sweet odor Change in sleep patterns Changes in thinking Confusion that is mild Forgetfulness Mental fogginess Personality or mood changes Poor concentration Poor judgment Worsening of handwriting or loss of other small hand movements More severe symptoms may include: Abnormal movements or shaking of hands or arms Agitation, excitement, or seizures (occur rarely) Disorientation Drowsiness or confusion Strange behavior or severe personality changes Slurred speech Slowed or sluggish movement People with hepatic encephalopathy can become unconscious, unresponsive, and possibly enter a coma..

As I said in my previous post this man is trying as hard as he can and taking very good care of himself and getting the treatment that he needs. If you haven't been keeping up with him then you wouldn't know this. Why must they always bring his drinking up. I've been a fan of David since the age of 11 in the Partridge Family. He gave so many fans such a happy time. He loved his fans so much as we loved him so much. Yes he had demons and a lot of ot was the way his Father treated him. Always so cold towards him, not so much as a hug. He was ripped off by Sony when in The Partridge Family when they didn't pay him the right money. This Anazingly talented man was an Actor, Stage show peformer, Singer, songwriter. He gave fans years of his life and no end of talent. He had a bigger fan base all over the world than Elvis and the Beatles. Remember all the years that David made us so happy. Everyone isn't perfect. If your a true fan of David's you wouldn't even bring up David's drinking. You will never see the likes of him again. Rest in peace David. We love and miss you xxx❤️❤️

David himself admits he has been an alcoholic for many years and as most people with an addiction do, he try to hide it from himself and others.
