    Always enjoy this clip. Look at 3:19, such young love in this girls face. The girl in the yellow saying she would get all news clothes if she were to meet David is just how were felt. David might take notice of us. I still remember the pink shorts with butterflies I wore to see him in 71'. I took weeks to decide what I would wear in 71' when he came to Tampa. I do enjoy 3:33 showing David's typical left leg over the right, arm embracing his slim sexy body. That's David Cassidy.

    I feel sad that he was such a lonely man. In this interview, he said" I won't be 22 years old for the rest of my life, and if his fans go one way an he goes another that's okay". I guess it wasn't okay, because that's what failed him. We grew up, and he didn't have the same fan base to support his career.

  • @LuvTadnDixie

    @LuvTadnDixie

    Yes, and he continued singing the Partridge Family songs too. His frustration was . . . okay, I did the Partridge Family, but I can do other things. But even with that frustration, he chose to be positive, and there was a lot to be positive about. People were constantly coming up to him saying how much they loved him and what a huge impact he had on their lives. He touched a lot of young people that grew up in the 70s, and he knew it and it made him feel really good. He's a 70s icon and that's not such a bad thing to be, is it? I think he later realized, if I can't beat em, join em . . . and he embraced it and he felt very blessed because people still loved him because of that show. And he was able to do a lot of things behind the scenes, like producing and writing for other artists, so he did okay for himself for the most part. And of course, he still loved to play music and he has often said, "he never felt like he had a job because he loved what he did for a living." It's just a shame that the booze hurt him so badly. That's what ruined him.

  • @pleiadian13

    David Cassidy was the best IMO right until the last interview. Even in his debilitation he was giving all he had. Money meant nothing to him, being manipulated was unbearable however. You can see he was shy and very loving to these starry eyed youngsters. I couldn’t be more proud of my childhood fave. I got to see him perform when I was 11. Full of verve and enthusiasm but quite taken aback by all the over the top reactions. Proud, humble, strong, vulnerable. The real deal in a compact power package. I absolutely adored his voice, his emotional and spirited energies. Plus there were those sparkly eyes and his one of a kind smile. He’s proven his talent snd genius over and over again, throughout his too short and troubled life. Alcohol addiction destroyed his confidence and his looks. But we know now it was not a flaw but science has proven alcohol addiction is a digestive dysfunction, that creates a toxin which is sent to the brain. The byproduct of this process is a near identical substance to heroin, made in the brain. It’s called THIQ or Tetrahydroisoquinoline. It’s twice as addictive as morphine. Over time it builds up in the brain and no one yet know when or why it flips a switch and a normal drinker becomes addicted. THIQ never goes away either. One drink and it returns with a vengeance. Without familial support and medical treatment most likely outcome is passing away from the disease. David Cassidy was not his disease. He was NOT Keith Partridge. He was a gifted musician and actor. So good an actor in fact even he got confused about is identity. I feel for those closest to him who could nit help him and had to turn away. It’s be unbearably painful to go through things with him when he was unwell. Knowing what I know now about alcohol addiction Maybe something more could have been done. If he were mine, I’d hold his hand and be there by his side no matter what. He DID NOT deserve this terrible affliction that ruined his life. REST IN PEACE BROTHER.

    how awful, also, that alcohol also destroyed his precious beautiful voice. It destroys the vocal chords of anyone. There is alot of research on singers, out there, in particular. I NEVER would have left him, like SS did! For better or worse. He was abandoned at the worst time. Hurts my heart....I will always love you, dear David...

    Old at 23 years??!! Yet, when David walked in, his fans were in awe of him! It is so strange to listen to him here. He was so mature, and had such. insight. It is when he became older, somehow seemed more insecure. I think, after his crazy fame faded, he didn't know who he was anymore. He could have done so much more with his talent, but he seemed to focus so much on regret. :(

    I grew up kind like David was it was maybe a little bit older than me but I lived here in his music to those years by the girls in my class the difference is people became worse technology increase since that time people have become worse did not connect it really no more and he expected probably that's there'll be something nicer in life when he passed away he realized that that's what he said he said it was all for nothing and that's a fact for many people human beings of the and people around you they will disappoint the hell out of you they'll make you and your life it almost did mine until I learned from another human being will take time to actually tell you who he is but you learn from people who really care that you see

    He ruined his looks with his drinking. He would have been a gorgeous older man. Too thin when he was young though.

    I loved his lean body. I loved everything about him. But he did age very fast in the last years of his life. He's somebody I could never picture as an old man, and then I saw him on Dr. Phil and he looked so old and so sick. May he rest in peace.

    You're so right. He was still good looking when he was older it's just the drinking that made him look bad. He still looked good even if he was drinking but can you imagine how he would have looked if he wasn't.

    I am sorry he wasnt able to enjoy his fame more than he did. People get so excited when they might cross someone in public that they admire on the sceen, some dont mean any harm, but it doesn't always turn out that way. He was a big part of my teen years. The posters back then were created l feel more for the person they portrait, not so much for the money. If you get time and can pull up teenbeat magazine you will also be able to read sincere articles about many of the people they wrote about. It was a time of nice reading and not about the ugly personality, some of those words portrait people to be. I now know he has been freed from some of the uglyles, sp that being on this earth brings. I hope having it now makes up for not having it then.
