He really wanted to be taken seriously as an actor, and was proud of his work here. I still wish he'd respected his role on "The Partridge Family" more. He was so good as a comedic actor, never mind how beautiful he was and what a gorgeous singing voice he had. RIP DAVID~~~~

The world has lost a awesome man, singer, actor, musician, parent, celebrity. David can never be replaced.... no matter how hard his son, Beau, tries.

Yes Beau has nothing of his Dad. David's everything was only David's as all was his own voice., singing, speaking, looks. All his sweetness, and being a very caring loving person he is was completely of his Mom Evelyn Ward.

They would not give David anything, they did not want him. That show ruined him--- plus that is what Hollywood has always done from their beginning--break people, destroy soooo many. But Hollywood is splitting wide open and would be great to see Hollywood fall and to no longer exist. I knew of David's greatest of most very natural talented actor-- as though he has been acting since he was-- a child playing a character that one could only see David was playing a character that was sooo very obviously a much younger age than David actually was. He was fantastic, absolutely great actor my Brother and I loved him in David Cassidy Man Undercover and was flabbergasted and soooo, soooo hurt that they pulled it off from David. David even wrote the theme song but only got to sing it on 2 episodes

Thank you for posting. I used to have this on video tape. I lived in San Francisco with my boyfriend at the time & his performance on this Police Story had him change his mind about David as being a real actor!

It's been 6 years since D.C. passing💔 and still people want to see the end as the whole storyline. Not fair. Yes his mum passed ,his Dad, his marriages failed ,lived alone in Florida, pretty much the last 15-20 years. People want Danny forever. R.I.P. David💙

He seems so sweet, doesn't he? I can understand him not wanting to be chased and have his clothes torn.Elvis didn't like it either. All of us "common folk" take our daily freedom for granted, whereas the famous don't have that.I always liked Dinah's voice.

I'm really noticing David's soft-spoken voice here. I'm glad he lost a little of that later, because it (the soft-spoken quality) seems to be a part of the lack of genuineness he lost from being manufactured. He seems much more confident in the interviews he did in the late 80s- early 90s. I also seem to have forgotten Dinah's southern accent.

That is interesting! I actually find him MORE sincere here. I've noticed in later interviews that he seem to take on more of a "cool" persona, more swagger. My perception was that in the late 80s, early 90s, he was trying too hard. I actually met him in Toronto in 1990, and though I was lucky enough to have my picture taken with him, I was a little disappointed with his attitude.
