Color Splash. Def Fave.

I met David in a club with one of my friends, he was terrific hanging around us just laughing and talking. Anyone who came up to him David would start conversations making each person feel comfortable talking with a celebrity. A very genuine guy I was impressed by his serenity and kindness. It proves that being kind , genuinely so, is what drew in viewers. He’s kind, great looking, funny, and much taller than it seems on TV.

I think the reason for all his tattoos is due to him not being happy with himself. That's just how I feel about anyone who covers themselves with tattoos. His tattoos and way he dresses brings lots of attention to himself. It's sad but I still like him and watch his show.

Oh I know, let’s not forget those hand tattoos as well… He just went to town with all those tattoos & back for some more ( IF YOU ASK ME; HE’s ABSURD & RIDICULOUS WITH ALL THOSE TATOOS ) I wouldn’t be surprised if his pretty face was next?!?!?!?!?!?😢😢😢

He looked so good with a bit more weight and less tats. but to each it's own...if he is happy...I like him and hope he is happy and healthy.

Met him as I was boarding a plane in Orlando. I just casually said, “ Hello David” and he gave me a big smile and started chatting me up. I was traveling with my little dog and even nice to her as well.

I love David he is so joyful and happy! When I see him, he makes me happy!❤

I absolutely love David! He seems so friendly and easygoing!! Very nice personality. I love his show My Lottery Dream Home, I’ve been a fan for a long time now and will continue to be for more years to come. ❤

I'm from Australia and randomly saw an episode of that show. Was taken aback by how charming he is with that gorgeous smile, and his fun loving personality. What also stood out for me was how authentic he was and able to connect with people on their own level to make their dreams come true as much as his own. I had no idea of his background before watching this video - so nice to see his journey to success while being still so true to himself.

My favorite designer and host. He is one of a kind. No bells and whistles just David.

As much as I love David, those tattoos cheapen him up. He is so adorable and talented. It's a shame. But I still enjoy everything he does.

I followed David from his 1st HGTV days. I will never forget he did a BLACK bedroom in Miami. So gorge!!! on that decorating show he would paint a picture for every design he did. So good!!

He has a right to decorate himself any way he wants but I don't even see his face anymore. I just stare at the tats on his neck. They take away from his natural good looks. But I'm sure he wouldn't be interested in me anyway. 🤣

@isobelkirk6602.......I thoroughly agree with you. The tats on his neck really hurt his good looks. I just don't understand why people feel the need to do this to themselves. There are times that he even has the ones on his neck covered with makeup - so he might have some regrets.

David Bromstad is wonderful in all his transformations. Met him in Miami at a Publix and he was the nicest guy. Wish him all the best in his creative outlets!

Love David!! Voted for him on Design Star back in the day.

I watched David from day one on HGTV and knew he would win and become a Star. I know that arena can be hard as well as I don’t know him personally. I, myself do not have tattoos but it’s a personal choice and have many relatives that do have them. My grandson has them on his face and neck which is the ONLY place I asked and he promised he wouldn’t put them, and he lied to me and did it anyway. David has such an outgoing personality and his creativity is amazing. When I saw the neck tattoos I was shocked he did that. But, to each his own and if that made him happy more power to him. But, he is still David just with tattoos. Good luck in your life’s journey and I’ll still watch whatever you do☺️🙏

The generosity you show to David you should also show to your grandson. He is still your grandson, just with tattoos (sound familiar?). And your grandson will still love you just as much as before.

I used to watch his early shows with my daughter. Recently visited her and she put on his new show. Having not seen him in over a decade, I was shocked. It is a distraction fromt he subject of the show and I felt very sad seeing him after all he years I hadn’t. It is hard to take anyone seriously who has covered their body like that.

I think he's incredibly talented and charismatic.. HOWEVER, this new tattooed bad boy grungy look is quite a shame as he WAS very handsome. Not sure what people see when they look in the mirror sometimes.

Yes, indeed he was a handsome man. It's amazing what people see when they look in the mirror. Like celebrities who get plastic surgery. Some don't need it. Some don't know when to stop getting it Whether it is plastic surgery or tattoos, when they look in the mirror they don't like what they see. Those who play with knives just don't like what they see, they are vain, and think this is what they need to do to stay in the business. Or to hold on to their youth Tattoos of this degree may be he doesn't like what he sees as well and is trying to cover it up. Some wounds you just can't hide

I have 3 tattoos on my upper arms and they are surprisingly addictive for something that hurts (physically and financially). That said, getting anything anywhere near my face or hands was never going to happen - I doubt that I would have gone for a single job interview if they were visible. Tattoos are a lot more accepted now but I really can't see why David got so many. Horses for courses, I guess - I wish him well.

I can't look at him inclose ups anymore because the snakes creep my out and I don't know what those wide black lines down his right hand are all about but very distracting. Love his enthusiasm and he has a caring soul. Hope he finds his true soulmate and love.

My huSband and I like David very much, and have enjoyed his various shows. He is so empathetic to the lottery winners .

I see a wounded soul in David… sad to be so artistically talented 😞 his increase in all his tattoos, drugs, sex and alcohol. Mental Health breakdown. 😢 I wish him love ❤️ health and healing. ❤️‍🩹

I remember watching David in the early days, enjoyed his Energy.

I absolutely loved David and all the creativity he brought to HGTV. Stay blessed David and 50+ years old looks amazing on you.

I am turned off by all of his body tattoos. He used to be so gorgeous. I can't believe he did this to his beautiful body.

The only thing I don't like about his Lottery Winner show is that he doesn't get to show his creativity. I used to love Colour Splash, but his style changed when he moved to Florida and missed his original show. He was my choice for winner on the HGTV Designer show...Happy he is thriving.

I feel the same way, he ruined himself, his clothes are hideous and those tattoos, why would someone do that to themselves, I guess they don't see what we see? Hard to watch sometimes, I am surprised they have allowed him on HGTV, not professional at all.

I just can't get into the lottery show, it just feels like a real estate show,and it lacks David's design esthetic he was known for. I wish he'd go back to his old type of shows. And those tattoos ? Ruined that beautiful body, his perog I know, before you attack, blah blah, but damn he was so pretty. Now he looks like a thug. Still love him though.

I have watched him from the very beginning, and really enjoyed his shows early on. I even watched my lottery dream home regularly until about the last three seasons as the tattoos increased, my interest in watching decreased.

Loved your video on David, I was wondering what happened to him. He is an incredible artist, told my daughter if we ever won the lotto, I want David to show us a home. Just so I can get him to paint me one of his fabulous artwork 😉

My husband and I have loved watching everything he did on tv, especially Color Splash. Our favorite was watching him paint! It’s like watching Billy Joel’s as he plays the piano! Skills you can’t imagine! We watched him on the Lottery Dream house show just to see him but always were disappointed that he didn’t get to show his talents and creativity! Congratulations on your already beautiful home. I hope we get to see how you make it uniquely yours!

I thought David was so handsome in his early days on TV. His good looks is what attracted me to his shows. His personality was adorable. Then he started getting tattoos which was no big deal at first. Now it’s covering his whole body. Such a shame because he really is a physically blessed person. It almost ages him. People do the strangest things for attention or to fill whatever void they have. He is still a nice guy.
