An exclusive impression of David Bowie's visit to the TopPop studios in Hilversum, The Netherlands on 15 October 1977 to promote and record a TopPop video of his latest single 'Heroes'. Bowie poses in his own inimitable and charming way to the gathering of Dutch press photographers and studio staff after he received gold records for his albums 'Low' and 'Heroes' by TopPop presenter Ad Visser. This raw footage was never broadcast in the Netherlands or elesewhere.
David Bowie visited the TopPop studios on several occasions.

World famous music artists performed on TopPop: ABBA, 10CC, Bee Gees, The Jacksons, David Bowie, Earth & Fire, Boney M, Smokie, KC & The Sunshine Band, Chick, Donna Summer, Rod Stewart, and many many more.

Simply the best Bowie song, makes me so happy.

TheBudgie29 That's not so. This track "Sound & Vision" is available on his 2CD compilation titled "Bowie The Singles 1969 To1993 (Featuring His Greatest Hits)". Its there at track No. 19 on Disc 1. According to the details of this double disc set, this was manufactured and marketed by RYKO - Rykodisc Company in 1993. The code number is RCD 10218/19. Printed in USA. Manufactured in Canada. Sorry about the late comment.

@@bellerophonchallen8861 it was just a great time for growing up with that music of the times. There was so much diversity in the mainstream back then. Now everything mainstream sounds the same to me with the same incessant drum beats and the same machine bass lines with crappy digitalised vocals on.
Only Bowie could rock green boots, socks up to the knees, jeans and a smart red jacket.

He's modeling. He used to be a model for a minute back in the 60s (as were Marc Bolan and David Gilmour), so he knew what to do. Those cameras were popping as fast as he could change poses.

I love Bowie, and one reason is his style. I love the outfit he's wearing here. Arrrrgh, SO mad that I can't find navy blue work boots like the ones he's wearing! 😒 None of the ones I've seen on the vintage store sites go high enough on the calf. His must have been custom made.

If you can’t find kickers, Doc Maarten’s boots might be available in blue. They look similar but they’re tighter at the top

After this classic, you have to follow up with "Heroes", around the same era. Simply epic music for its time. Bowie was a fearless performer, and musician, which makes the gentle tone of "Sound and Vision" even more stunning in its quiet introspection.

I just love how he always licks his lips and the way he talks and the way he moves his eyes and the way he is so sweet and funny and how he is an introvert yet became an extrovert bcs that's how he could make his way. Don't we always perhaps choose the way of the w of the world and forsake our inner self. He mastered both worlds.
