Marc Bolan honestly looks like he’s having fun & enjoying himself. David is reinventing himself; I grew up listening to them both. Thank You for the music and RIP.

He's done with reinventing himself; he's reconnecting with himself... perhaps? Like his cover version of Cactus (from Heathen). With the assertive proclamation of: "D. A. V. I. D!"

@@hazelwray4184 Good point. I was in HS during my Bowie years & we all loved his outrageous outfits & hair. My own hair (1973) was long, but that all all changed when I join the Air Force in 1974. I was in Spain (1977) when Marc Bolan passed & remember hearing about it. I still liked Bowie, but my music taste changed. I still like R&R, music like Steve Miller Band etc. What I meant about David Bowie reinventing himself; was he gave up the crazy Ziggy Stardust hairdo’s. His music became more mainstream, with albums like China Girl, even a duet with Bing Cosby which was a great collaboration. Both David’s & Marc’s music will live on forever. I still listen to both at 66. Take Care and Long Live Rock!
I hope they are jamming together in the sky. Rest peacefully.

The 1st thing I said when David Bowie died was they can finish this performance now. RIP to both of them x
You can see that when Bowie is performing Heroes, his head is in another place. Fascinating to watch.
Remember rushing home from school to watch this on TV.
I loved both of them so much....they were the perfect 60s British pop magicians!!!! Both were mystical, alluring and oh-so-sexy.....RIP DAVID AND MARC
I would have kill to see this live
This is brilliant. You can see that Marc didn't take himself too seriously. Such a charismatic man.
Can you imagine if these 2 Guys had joined up? Would have been the 70s Beatles. Add Will Legend and Tevor Boulder and sure Mickey too. Those two competing and collaborating songwriting holy moly! They would have owned the charts.
The best live performance of Heroes.

Awww I just love trex Marc Bolan David as well xxx❤️❤️❤️
My older brothers favourite, RIP Raymond James Williams and RIP Marc Bolan xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxc
I read somewhere That Heroes was meant to be sung as a duet with Bolan, but due to drugs and booze prior to the song,he collapsed mid song and Bowie sang it alone..
Two good friends they met in the 60's and stayed friends until marc's death bowie then took care of marc's family
Two icons
Damn! Bowie's vocal kicks it.
I'm in the middle of reading (the minor hatchet job) "David Bowie, Starman" in which the Bowie/Bolan relationship is discussed more than a few times. Thanks so much for posting this clip.

Great!
Love the 70s
Love his voice/and he had something to say, even if it was mostly as an example of someone who loved to sing, so sang, sang, sang.
I simply "Fell In Love" when I first got "The Slider" Still have pic's of my home with that LP on the living room wall. LP's covered one entire wall, album cover, space, another, etc. Everybody Really Dug that LP, but, nobody ever heard of "Marc Bolan" until my "3-day-3-night-party" occurred. They played that LP & "Electric Warrior" over 'n over, saying; "I can't believe I've never heard of him before!" Actually, I could not either. C'ya, CJ-4-JC 4evr ~
Two Beautiful Smiles
It's a bit of a shame that the last recorded thing of Bolan's was him falling off the stage here at the end - but like the good pro he was, he just laughs and gets on with it...
i'd kill for that leopard outfit. damn that man had good taste.

Bowie - “I like your little Deborah ditty. Here’s Heroes...”
Alguien sabe el título de la canción que Boland y Bowie tocan juntos al final del vídeo?
So symbolic that Marc fell off stage. Have been on a Marc fest lately, having gotten onto him after Bowie died, must say I'd let David go as the lesser of the talent, however seeing them perform together on the same clip,I realise why I'd never heard of Marc, not just early death . .David Bowie so cool,so clearly talented, handsome, effortlessly genius
@MalquiLans

+donnaeve I just wondered if you've ever had a Bowie fest. I recently bought all TRex albums to check out what I remember dismissing as a child. On most counts I wasn't wrong then. I think you are seriously wrong if you feel Bowie was the lesser talent. It's laughable. To be fair, Marc was quite a unique artist before the 70's.

Mick Lans, and Ed, I think he has been misquoted in his comment, Bolan is simply not in the league of Bowie, there is simply no contest, Bowie had way more talent. No disrespect to Bolan.
Curious. Whos playing the bass on Heroes and why is the classic bassline not being used? It's like someones been given a chord sheet and just jammed along.
