Did he buy it on a 15 year fixed rate where the payment is no more than 25% of his after tax pay? Is he debt free other than the house? Is he contributing the prescribed 15% by himself to the 401k? Did he wife up some poor single mom with student loan debt like Dave always advises?

Dave doesn't make his money telling people to pay off debt, He makes his money funneling people to his staff of realtors and financial planners.

I thought they would go downhill but people are so desperate for their entertainment fix they just keep paying. We got kicked off and I never pay for TV or whatever but it seems that most do. Weird thing is we can easily afford to pay but those who use it could likely spend/invest the money way more productively.

Housing prices are going down and some houses are getting taken off the market due to not selling. Unless the house is heavily discounted, people aren’t budging and buying a house that 2 yrs ago the owners bought it for $200k less.

I bought 88/12 ground beef from Costco this week for $4.19/lb. It was $2.99/lb less than six months ago. That’s a 40% increase.

Jeremiah only presents a one side of Dave Ramsey (like he usually does when speaking of someone else or telling a story about a situation), that he disagrees with, and he brings him up a lot (like his "code" criticism of Dan from IAllegedly), AND just like he didn't have or give the full picture of the baseball pitcher and American flag on the glove last night. He really screwed that story up. How many of you have listened to Dave Ramsey for any appreciable length? How many of you have listened to Dave Ramsey at all...his show, not a KZread clip. Jeremiah, you are cheapening your message. You reveal more of your true self every day, and it's not real pretty.

Some people are smart enough to realize Dave isn't everything some think he is. I think JB is right for calling out his current horrible advice- especially when (as has been pointed out) one must question the validity of the advice, given Dave stands to gain financially.

Dave’s advice is only 50% correct.
