enemy free way to be \m/ I actually never had a real hero of my own except of late Dave the only hero i had or have well i liked ian curtis but maybe he walked in line and in any case he smoked cigs and got a bit fucked as i don't want to be, like dave So definitely ian is not my "hero" overall .... although ian curtis still is my hero as an artist but dave, is more of an overall hero (only 1, huh lol) ... huh, in dave you see no flaws and all his words are so relevant, so logical.

Right on! I was going to kill myself back in like 95. I drove around listening to train o consequences over and over! I was looking for something I could get up to a high rate of speed and hit! I was hoping it would be dead on so I would die! Listening to that song over and over and not finding that special place landed me in AA! That’s where I read the train of consequences in the big book right around the fourth step! I was floored! Literally that song kept me going and I kept saying oh well I’ll wait till tomorrow and try again! In a way it saved my life! So hell yeah Dave is my hero too cause 20 plus years later I’m doing soooooooo much better than those dark days! Thanks Megadeth and thank you Dave Mustaine!

He wanted to change the subject because he was being pushed to answer for things he was saying, that he couldn't, unfortunately. Love Dave but he's batshit crazy for thinking Obama isn't an American.

Dave is a pretty intelligent guy, and calls things as he sees them. There are many out there who do not like that about him, or anyone for that matter. It makes them uncomfortable for a host of reasons. I personally find it refreshing. As far as the President goes, I think we will find out droves of information after he leaves office, for years after.

Dave rocks no matter what "side" he's on. Give the guy some props for standing up and speaking. He was asked the questions. He didn't change the subject and start railing on the big O. I was a human thing. Not a musicak thing . After the deadly accident of Panic in a car crash for most of the band and his father death at 18 years old after refounding him again after grew up without him .. i think it was pretty devastating . Then Metallica was like a family for him , then he get fired by metallica , the way they did . No wonder why he took this so bad . I think everybody would be hurt.

I'll agree with that. From what I've seen of him in interviews anyway. I never really got into his music much, but I've respected the man's intelligence everytime I've heard what he had to say.

Dave is a believer. His beliefs have led him down some dark roads and some amazing roads. Whatever fuels your tools.

I love how Strombo wasn't afraid to challenge Mustaine on his see-through political beliefs. Most hosts let their guests sputter out whatever nonsense they feel like, so Strombo putting him to task was enjoyable. And as soon as he was challenged, of course the "I don't want to talk about my President" came into play.

Put him in his place? I love Dave and his music, but in this specific regard he's pretty ignorant. Obama wasn't born in America? With what evidence does he make that claim? Obama didn't exist? He was a senator! There are mounds of evidence that he existed! Mustaine is going on plain conspiracy, without even an ounce of support/evidence when the host politely asked him about it. Asking, "why" is not rude, nor should it be a challenging question if you have an educated opinion about a topic. "I don't think he was born in America." "Why?" "Because. He didn't exist before the election." "What do you mean he didn't exist? He clearly did... he was a senator." "I don't like this topic."

Hc fan here from Finland🇫🇮 11 years old first vinyl I bought in 1989 was so far so good so WHAT and this 13 album for me has great megadeth songs🤟 and I rank it 6th best of their albums

I think because he was a stronger personality than James or Lars. They knew he'd be the head honcho and probably an asshole so yeah. It was for the best because we got two awesome bands out of it.

Leaders are always the first to go in the band World....If his Dick was bigger than the other guys,then he must go.....Dave never got fired, they got left behind since they would only hold him back to go do bigger and better things,even if the industry never recognized that like they should have...Megadeth fans already know....

He's had a Christian influence since Peace Sells; it's only recently that he's had such drastically "Christian" views. Personally, only so much of the Bible is still relevant in context of today and much is misconstrued. Mustaine's got a big mouth, which I'd say is good. It's good to say what you believe should be said.

I respect Dave and think he's a great musician, but he came off as poorly informed about Obama in this interview. If you're gonna argue politics, at least bring a solid defense to the table. Don't just say, "Obama was not born in the US, I know that." Evidence, sources, facts; these are all good suggestions. Dave always striked me as a guy who wouldn't contribute his two cents on a topic unless he had his shit lined up and ready to go.

meowschwitz True, he sounded like average joe on the street. He should have just avoided it from the start but he got duped in. Strombo can make a person too comfortable which is when they get taken off guard and real emotions surface. Good technique.

always respected george and dave, politics are a touchy subject, as someone looking to work in journalism i'm super impressed how when dave was getting ansy and not wanting to talk about obama, george could make a subject change and not lose the interest or respect of dave at all! super impressive!

Some people are different and hey drugs quicken it man. Just take care of yourself. I won't ever deny anyone of what they want to do to have fun or whatever, but at least to take care of yourself is a priority.

I was a faithful Metallica fan growing up in my teenage years. I enjoyed them up to AJFA and a few of the black album songs. I listened to a few Megadeth songs but not many. I recently started listening to Megadeth more and found that I like a few albums. I recently bought peace sells, rust in peace and countdown. 👍🏻
