So true, because let's be for real everybody knows that Eric Bischoff is way smarter than Tony Khan.

Tony Khan is "smart" because he is a follower of Meltzer and is implementing his philosophy: the longer the match the better (preferably make the match an hour to get 7 stars or whatever) and story? Ah, just make it simple, who cares (as he and Alvarez have stated many, many times.) Do Meltzer oriented wrestling, forget ratings or making a profit, and you are "smart."

I was flabbergasted when I heard Meltzer say that 😆

The most mind blowing part of this is the CM Punk losing ratings after his debut. I thought it was a work at first .. but no , the guy actually wanted to have 15 minute matches with 155 lb Indy talent.

I was excited when he debuted on AEW. Unfortunately, there has been no storyline to keep me interested. The only one I enjoy watching highlights on is MJF. Now there is a guy that could become a start with good writing! He is getting over without it!

Russo is right on the money here. Meltzer is taking a shot at Bischoff. No one in their right mind would ever think Kahn is a smarter wrestling mind than Eric Bischoff.

The problem with modern pro-wresting is that both the fans and the wrestlers in the business care more appeasing Dave Meltzer and getting a 5 star match than they do about making a profit or drawing in a larger audience.

What a weird world we live in ,driven insane by jealousy and the reality that their time has passed them by has finally united the unlikely trio of Eric, Vince and Jim, maybe we should let TK have a shot at bringing Israelis and Palestinians together

Bischoff is a better talker, better businessman & a better wrestling mind than TK. Eric was not part of the wrestling-bubble.

Eazy E is the most legit guy in the business history.. he knows what he's talking about & he actually took down the WWE. IMO , he & Vince are the most professional at talking Pro Wrestling & it's not even close.

Finally glad to hear someone say how khan is doing what Bischoff did with ex WWE guys back then. Sign em all. I don’t think I’ve watched even a half a show of AEW and can tell it’s a wannabe attitude era WCW. Seems like khan is making the same mistakes as Bischoff. Seems like every show someone is making a surprise debut in AEW which isn’t a surprise cuz the Internet.

Tony Khan is smarter then Bischoff? AEW has more more money to spend today then WCW had in the 90s and they still can’t break 1 million viewers even during a pandemic when everyone had to stay home and watch tv. AEW has TNT/TBS but TNA on Spike had more viewers. Cody Rhodes left and went back to WWE for a reason and I’m not saying WWE is great but WWE is an established brand and the WWE machine is unstoppable like it or not. I would like to see Dave Meltzer saying Cody Rhodes value has dropped since leaving AEW.

great point. Tony Khan has less ppl to answer to than bischoff and his own money to do every and anything he wants...after 3 yrs he still cant draw 1 million consistantly...bischoff was drawing 2/3 million in his bad days lmao

Define "smart". I take smart to mean acute intelligence, or the application of intelligence. Bischoff is more intelligent than Khan. Bischoff also did a better job of applying his intelligence ("smart"). Meltzer's making stuff up again.

For such a "smart" dude, Khan didn't have the intelligence to stop CM Punk's Scrum rant (much less to control the subsequent incidents). Bischoff would have likely stopped Punk, as would Vince McMahon, Triple H, Paul Heyman, you name it. Guy's so smart he's constantly overpowered by his wrestlers.

They're both on the spectrum so they'll always be mostly wasted potential, therefore, not really intelligent at all.
