He would have eventually broken free and found his path. He was very young in Nirvana. When you are that creative, it's in you. He wouldn't have been able to stay contained as a drummer playing someone else's songs. He would have found his own thing.

I've played with some heavy hitters, some people you would know, and everyone you see in the background during a rock show or any show has their own thing going. Yes, there are some that are ok just being a backup player, but many have their own visions. It's the difference between being an employee and being a business owner. You can work for someone else's dream or you can realize your own dreams. Of course not everyone has what it takes or has the charm to be liked, but that doesn't mean most aren't trying. Not everyone can be in the spotlight. If everyone realized their dreams, there would be no spectators buying the tickets.

Dave has the rare gift of being able to truly connect with the crowd. Not sure if it’s charisma or if his love for the music bleeds out, but I always walk away from FF concerts feeling like he knew exactly what the fans wanted to hear and that he enjoyed the show as much as everyone else. Rock legend.

Hard to believe, that this is the same skinny, kid, that was the kick ass drummer for Nirvana.

Vince D he's not a good singer, but I consider him to be great one.

I love this guy. A true rock legend. Not sure how many times I've watched this video now. Never gets old.

I could listen to this man sing or speak all day.

If there is a god, he is Dave Grohl.

What a phenomenal guitar player and singer that man is , and that’s not even counting what a legend on the drums he is!!!

Best performance by any musician in front one of the smallest crowd. Both the songs are awsome but walk helps me to keep me alive a moment at a time. The anger in Grohl's voice and the sadness of the chord D and Dmin...Epic!

Im truly proud of Dave. He's done good work all on his own, and he is owed that recognition.

Only Dave could make acoustic AltRock sound metal as f**k. All in all it sounds very raw. He just goes for it.

Still loving this in 2019!

I knew he was talented, but this just elevates him......above just about everyone. Stunned here.

I feel sad for people who haven't witnessed Dave Grohl perform. This is the purest and the closest you can get to a real music and a real artist.

I nearly cried for The song Walk. It really shows you the power of the human heart. Dave Grohl is a Role model for generations.

Absolutely amazing! The chorus is pretender sounded a little weird/different but I take it that has to do with it being an acoustic version. It is amazing that he can tune and play a guitar with a few seconds of thinking over the song.

In a few live shows Taylor (the drummer) sings the chorus while dave just sings the harmony

In the studio version taylor screams the vocals for the chorus, Dave sings the harmony but it's turned down more.

Wow, he has very powerful vocals. Incredible

Dave is a manifesting his believe about success which is: The only way to become a successful artist is to perform really good (blow us away) right in front of our faces!

The foo fighters are my favorite band, and dave grohl is a better drummer than guitarist, but an exceptional songwriter and singer, but he's the greatest drummer of all time in my opinion sooooooooo
