Well sometimes there very busy and would rather hire a baby then leave the baby alone when they can’t be with them

His daughters are a couple of lucky little girls. Not because their dad is a huge rock star, but because he really appears to put fatherhood first. He seems like an amazing dad and an all-around awesome guy.

What I like about Dave the most is that when you see him performing οn stage or in a music video he seems wild and stuff, but when you see him in an interview he's like the most ordinary person and he has a normal life, he's sweet and down-to-earth. It's like he has 2 sides, the ''I'm a rocker'' side and the ''I'm a normal person'' side and he can rock both!

I know! Plus he's outrageously wealthy, but has a very friendly cozy modest home for his family, and cozy nice studio/warehouse/office space for his band. He just doesn't have that ego greed thing where he has to have rockstar stuff and live a crazy life. Mini van with the kids is where it's at for him. Great dad, great man. That's why I think he's got as hfar as he has. His music is good, but so is the person making it.

whats even cooler is the fact that his kids go to the same school as Paul Stanley of KISS' kids, so they always say hi to each other. In an interview for 60 minutes he said once Paul was like "Hey Dave, here's the latest KISS record for ya" and handed him it, which is the coolest thing ever....having your idol from when you were young give you a record as a gift in the student drop off area at your kid's school.....legit goals

What a cool, funny & witty guy. I never listened to his band but I've known of him, and he seems like he really loves his girls & being the best father ;)

Still to this day my favorite person alive. So ferocious on stage and so giving in normal life.

He's been in 2 of the most successful contemporary bands in the world and still seems this very down-to-earth dude that you just wanna hang out and share a cold brew with.

My dad successfully brainwashed me! Got me into Van Halen at first which is why I play the guitar. For my 8th or 7th birthday I can't remember he gave me his old ipod filled with all sorts of classic rock, and a $50 acoustic guitar. I remember getting in trouble in the third grade for just rocking out singing the I'm a fucking weirdo part of the creep without even knowing what it meant. Anyway, Dave is a fucking legend.

What a fucking legend.

I love hearing his daily routine. It shows how much of a chill down to earth normal guy he is.

She actually interviewed him the year before while he was out promoting the Sound City documentary.

His lyrics and the different music arrangements are so interesting and refreshing. Punk and Rock still has a catalyst with this band.
