Dave Grohl is one of the greatest musicians to walk the earth. Being in Nirvana, Foo Fighters and more, he has accomplished so much and he still has so many more years ahead of him. Such a nice guy. Legend!

Hard to argue with this. Despite all his accomplishments I think my favorite Grohl work is his drumming on Songs for the Deaf by QOTSA.

I was lucky enough to work with mom Grohl at a flower shop, briefly for a holiday, ages ago. She bragged about her son in the cutest way. Northern Virginia loves you Dave!

Dave is just as much about relationships as he is about music, and that’s what makes him such a cool human.

Dave is a legend. I could listen to him talk and tell stories for hours

I've heard for long time that Dave Grohl is one of the nicest men in rock, up to and including him releasing a Foo Fighters album at a low price as an apology because he didn't think the previous one was as good as it could have been. This cuddly bear is the same guy responsible for the ferocious drum assault on every Nirvana record. Dude has range.

He's the sweetest man and sounds like an awesome father too

Dave Grohl is a god damn national treasure.

Not only is Dave one of the best people in the world, but his shoe game is fire too.

As an "edgy nineties Kid", according to my 9 year old daughter, If Dave Grohl says you are my drummer, you are "The" Drummer.

I'm currently listening to his book 'Storyteller' on audiobook. It's so good and I love that he's the one that narrates it.

So excited for the new film by Dave!

Never been a huge Foo Fighters fan, but I've always treasured dave. All the guys in Nirvana where major friends, despite all the bullshit that eventually happened, and to continue creating after kirts death had always inspired me.

Dave is the reason i started playing guitar. His music and the person he is inspired me when i was only 9 years old. My dad played songs from Nirvanas first record Bleach & it literally changed my life.

I felt like that the first time I saw Paul McCartney in concert. Him and the rest of the Beatles had been SO built up in my mind that when I saw him on stage, I was like “wow, yeah, he’s just a dude!”

I don’t care how “generic”they are, I proudly say the Foo Fighters are my favorite band!

I even enjoy listening to Dave make windshield wiper noises.

the foo fighters really grew on me over the past few years. I use to hate them . songs were boring but something changed in the not too long ago now i LOVE them. Everlong and the pretender and learn to fly are AMAZING Dave is a great artist!

I totally agree that every band should start in a van. Im sure that interaction creates great bonds and creates long lasting bands. Cant wait to see the documentary. Everything this guy does is amazing!!!!!!

Documentaries like this - make us realise that there is no "rock star" - they started the same way - playing a multitude of pubs/clubs; with a load of hardship/pain - then if youre lucky you might get a hit song that changes your fourtune - Thanks Dave for this insight !

Search about Jorge Drexler he made it after his 30's, think he studied to be a doctor and he payed his first record working as a doctor by day and playing by night. I'm sure you're going to succeed, good luck man.

Solid Grohl'd! Love this guy... awesome oozes from the man! Touring in a van when you're broke, and touring in a van when you're a huge band/millionaire, is two VERY different tours. Haha... speaking from plenty of "broke" experience. CHEERS!

The X/DJ Bonebrake story is crazy, so cool!

Saw the Foo Fighters on Secret Solstice in Iceland in 2017. To this day the best live performance I have ever seen. They had more energy than an atomic bomb, went on for an hour and a half without even needing a breath and could have gone on for three. They outshined everybody at that festival. Keep making rock music!

Like all you, I love & respect Dave. I was friends with X in 1979-1981. Never missed a show. Flew to NYC cuz so proud excited they were booked there alongside Go Go's. Sure I saw Germs, Black Flag, Plugs, Alley Cats, & every other but X was it for me. Thought for sure they'd rise to super stardom especially after Manzarek's attachment. Just recently after 40 yrs randomly cyber met 2 rock solid Denim Co. dudes who happen to currently be good friends of John's. That Dave's related to Don Bonebrake is just further evidence that Grohl is a supreme being that's either connected to everyone or connects everyone. One of the greatest, sweetest that's ever walked the earth. Or drove a van around it. But with all this due, I'd like to find out why Dave, Noviselic & Violet cover it vs X? Dave has real-world integrity so I'm guessing X didn't want to perform Nausea themselves. Stay living everyone.

Dave is the best of us.

Dave interviewed Brian Johnson for his documentary on the same day. Brian's show isn't about touring vans, though. He just travels around, talking to musicians about their careers. The episode with Dave just focused on vans a bit more since Brian was also there to do Dave's documentary.
