For some reason the thought of David Bowie emailing Dave Grohl "Happy New Year!" in the middle of June is making me laugh so hard right now. Those must have been some priceless email exchanges.

16 Grammys!?!? CRAZY! Well deserved. I mean come on, from Nirvana, to Foo Fighters... To Queens of the Stone Age... from Guitar to drums to vocals... MUSICIANSHIP is the theme here. He's a GOAT forreal. Congrats Dave, and thank you for staying true to the art. Musically and sonically. 👌🏽

David Bowie's story I heard on the radio once: in the late '80s a little-known band asked a great and famous David Bowie for a saxophone solo to some piece they made. Quite convinced The Star had forgotten or just ignored they were completely shocked that HE came at the exact time agreed upon. After listening once he asked the tape let go to record ,did his track excellent, then put the saxophone in its case back intended to leave. When they told him about the paperwork like contracts, agreements , the fees due, anything like that he just waved his hand carelessly and countered humble as : "Forget about it. Everything is fine." Then he said goodbye, smiled little bit shyly and just left.
