I understood him completely when he explained that. I have an incredibly general sense of humor. If someone says something funny, I enjoy it. But even when someone just tries to be funny, but maybe the actual content is a swing and miss, I'll still laugh. I just like the idea of anyone trying to be humorous. Life is too god damn horrible as it is. I appreciate anyone that tries to bring a joke into it

“The beauty is in the attempt” I like that. People are drawn to success, but what they fail to see in many situations where failure is the outcome. In a culture where you have to win to be relevant, Dave’s authenticity is refreshing.

Dave Chappelle, Eddie Murphy, Jerry Seinfeld, Billy Connolly, and Craig Ferguson are my top 5. The most enlightened, INTELLIGENT comedians in my book. What most people don’t understand is, not only do you have to be naturally funny to be a good comic, but how astute, observant, intuitive, and transcendent you have to be to be a GREAT comedian, like these guys. They don’t have huge followings for nothing.
