They keep saying George Barris built this hot rod but from what I have read it was originally built by Dick Dean and was blue and called The Turnpike Hauler. The rod was acquired by Barris who gave it a makeover painting it red and renamed it.

Its scary how very simple and basic the chassis and body build is yet so beautiful and complex when you look at her completed... Bring back hotrods and the creative people that made them... the world needs a smile again...
