I loved the guy since wrestling. Back when he was tag team champions along with Rey Mysterio, till the day he left the WWE franchise. He was my favorite wrestler, and I stood by him with his decision to move to acting, and even his brief little stint in MMA. Still waiting for him to make a reappearance in the WWE just for old times sake.

I found out Dave is an AMAZING actor. Not because of GoTG (where he does an excellent job but is underutilized and shoved into the role of a punchline) but because of Blade Runner. I want to see more Dave Bautista in movies. I bet he could pull off a dramatic lead, I really do.

The amount of times he said "Y'know" throughout the interview just shows how truthful he is about being socially awkward. I can relate. Huge respect for this dude. 👍

I know what it means to be shy and awkward and it can get lonely. I go out occasionally with a friend to try and be social and connect to others but more often than not I go home feeling even more lonely than I did at the start. I don't think I'll ever be able to change it. Good to know that even famous entertainers like him can suffer with it but he seems to have really embraced it.

I feel you man. I have social anxiety combined with confidence issues and hypersensitivity. Dave was lucky because HHH picked him up and made him the star he became later on.

I'm really shy too in public so I get where Dave is coming from in that regard. He's a great man.

I followed him since his WWE days. He got me into weightlifting & tattoos. So happy to see how far he's came. 🖒

I met dave once. Seemed like a genuinely nice guy.

I really wanna have man like this. His body, his voice and his eyes...are so gorgeous

I think for the most part why introverted folks aren't actually shy per-say, its more of how much energy it takes to be really social and it can be exhausting from what i can tell from people i know with the same kind of personality traits and what I've been told. It definitely makes sense. I would say to anyone feeling like their not social or they are too social, find balance. Balance is key in life, and its a good thing to do your own things and then do things with other people. Don't be so hard on yourselves if any of y'all are feeling that way.

Never thought that he was so grounded and down to earth. I just started liking him because of this attitude. Also, look at those cheek bones, it's like the front end of a Ferrari.

Where is Gamore? I'll do you better, Who is gamora? I'll do YOU better, why is gamora? The last line was an improv. on batistas part and not a part of the script. Excellent addition.. just goes on to show how good he is at playing Drax.

Fact, Introverted people usually have above average intellect. Introverted people are mostly thinkers and ususally When they speak up they have always thought very carefully about what they are about to say, and are very informed on the topic they talk about.

Introverts tend to get labelled 'shy' or 'awkward' but that's just because we don't really want to talk to you! Small talk tends to be a chore for an introvert and weusually prefer the quiet solace of our own home as opposed to being social and being around others. 'Boring' is a term we're also often stuck with because we don't particularly find the same thrill in socializing/nightlife as extroverts do and therefore tend turn down invites to parties and functions. You'll often find though that introverts are the more creative and constructive ones since they're happy to immerse themselves in projects and hobbies while at home instead of being at a bar every weekend.

Each introvert is different. I know introverts that are shy and have low confidence, others are confident and assertive. Some introverts love talking to people, it's just that they love being alone more, because that's what gives them energy unlike the social interaction that drains it. Btw if you don't like small talk, don't do it. Just change the topic to something you're interested in. Just "Hey, what do you think about relationships?" or "What's your passion?" or "Tell me one of your bigger life goals." Boom. Suddenly, big talk.

Very accurate and i can see everything of that in myself :D. its very common that highly skilled musicians for example are introverts even though they are in a public light. (obviously NOT talking about the pop genre) :P

Never knew dave bautista was a socially awkward introverted kind of guy. I kinda can relate to how wwe (a show of full of sweat and testosterone) made him out from his shell is the same as me working out in the gym and joining martial arts is what made me get out from my shell.

Yeh that probably explains it, was simply pointing out how odd it was. To be fair she seemed perfectly fluent in the rest of the interview.

Im so happy Batista is doing so awesome outside WWE, he was one of my favorites wrestler, but now he straight one of my favorite new actors in Hollywood, his part in Blade Runner was so good and he steal the show as Drax in Guardians, I really want to see him in more films, he is very versatile (unlike The Rock who just keep playing himself over and over and over and over again).

Love Dave Batista !! Did not know he was socially awkward or shy. He's a very talented actor. I too am against cruelty to animals. Rachel, the interviewer, was very nice and attentive. This was a great interview. Thanks for sharing
