I really like the Dato Duo, it is an excellent teaching tool. It excels in introducing topics and is very inviting to new users. The creators have done a great job at letting all the buttons, knobs, and faders make a noticeable change in sound which I think makes it very useful as a teacher. I use it with my students that focus on music technology as well as my instrumental students. When talking about the shaping of notes the Duo is a great tool to help them find what type of sounds they like. Also, it breaks down many barriers by being intuitive and colorful.
