Dash Mini Griddle VS Dash Mini Grill - Cooking Hamburgers

Let's cook a hamburger in a Dash Mini Griddle and a Dash Mini Grill and see how they come out. Let's check out the similarities and differences. Dash Mini Griddle on Amazon - amzn.to/2YHhM05 Dash Mini Grill on Amazon - amzn.to/3b4zv6x
These small appliances only use 350 watts and are great for cooking in small spaces. They are great for RV cooking, van cooking, car cooking, dorm cooking, hotel room cooking, office cooking, etc. They are small, portable, and light weight so they are easy to travel with. They are also excellent prepping gear. Since they only use 350 watts and cook very fast, they can be easily run off of a generator or solar power station.

Wow! Why didn't I ever think about using my Mini Dash grill to cook a burger?? I'm stuck on Chaffee and/or scrambled eggs. This is awesome!! Mine is red and I just love it! Thank you for this!! And, ignore the complainers...they just like to bellyache about everything. Very rude and "entitled" people.

The grill I only really use if I want the darker marks, or if I just need another surface. I agree w/ you and use my griddle WAY more! Great for mini quesadillas, korean scallion pancakes to dip in a soy sauce, toasted sesame oil & riuce wine vinegar sauce... yum!

It was really good to see the comparison. Thank you. I tend to use my little waffle maker more than either the grill or the griddle. The griddle though it’s fun to use with those popcanned rolls as it gets more of the center cooked all the way and then you split it for like a sandwich. The small street taco size tortillas are great in the griddle.

*I have one of these mini grills, which I bought about six months ago. It is as clean today as it was when I unboxed it, and I have never had to clean it one single time! And here's my secret!* *I use it solely for hamburgers, and before I start cooking on it, here is what I do: I take two squares of aluminum foil, one for the bottom and one for the top, and I put them on the grill!* *One at a time I press them down everywhere on the grill so they conform themselves to the shape of the grill, I spray each one with a quick shot of cooking spray and set them aside!* *I brown my hamburger buns, then I put the lower piece of aluminum foil on the bottom grill, I put on my hamburger patty, then I lay the upper aluminum foil on top and close the lid!* *I bend the lower piece of aluminum foil to form a trough so the grease drips into a tiny disposable container. I place something about 1 inch high underneath the rear feet of the grill.* *So the grill is tilted and the grease will run into the container. Then I cook the hamburger patty for 10 minutes exactly. When I am done cooking the burger, the grill is still perfectly clean!*

Awesome! I will be doing this to keep it clean, especially cooking meat. The chaffles don't mess up the surface much, or the "fried" cheese that I do in my wafflemaker. The meat would, so the foil and the raised back side would help a lot! Thank you so, so much!!

@@hoolz99-vw6ue Yes but, the parchment paper probably would not conform to the shape of the indentations in the grill. The aluminum foil retains its shape after you press it into the grooves. Plus the aluminum foil retains its shape when you form it into a trough to drain the grease.

This is related ..... I noticed a while back that my medium sized ( two burger ) George Forman Grill seemed to be especially made to make boneless pork chops ( slightly thick cut ) & did them perfectly , no drying out of the meat , nice , tender , & juicy ( that is if not overcooked , pork isn't as forgiving as ground beef ) ..... My question to you my dear , I wonder just how it ( a slightly thick boneless pork chop )would fare being cooked in a Dash Mini Grill which by design is somewhat similar to the George Forman Grill Concept ..... 🐷🐖🐖🥩🥩🥩😋😋 Thanks for your videos , I do enjoy them , even the fails 😅 Somebody has to be the test pilot & sometimes the crash dummy , it's all good , entertaining & even funny along with learning new ways of doing things ...Thanks for sharing your videos with us .....👍👍🖐🖐

The griddle has more versatility and is easier to clean. Grilling involves drippings that drop into the grill and vaporize/ smoke and add to the overall flavor. @@CounterCooking so, why not doing all all of this on a skillet then as usual? Cleaning this gadget and all the counter, maybe the floor and the adjacent wall is just a nightmare abd residues stink... Cannot regulate the heat properly either... This is a used-once-forever-dusting in a cabinet gadget.

@@jannieschluter9670 How are you going to use a skillet if you don't have a stove or kitchen available? Do you not understand the purpose of this channel?? I have never had to clean anything other than the appliance. It does not cause a mess on the counter, the floor, etc. This is a use every day kind of gadget for the right people.

@@CounterCooking are you kidding? Am I supposed to take this seriously? I have EYES in my head and I am SEEING your video and I KNOW HOW 100g of grinded meat behaves on such a heat source like that...I can even SEE it on your video. It is just a nightmare and a mess. "Only cleaning the appliance" here we see and nothing else is a LIE.

@@jannieschluter9670 You’re clearly delusional and out of touch with reality. That is proven by the fact that you have no understanding about what this channel is about. Just because you are a messy and unskilled cook does not mean that others are. You can take your rude and ignorant comments and leave.
