I used to live in a semi rural area and the main highway went from double white lines to those larger don’t even think about it lines with the added bonus of massive “Do Not Pass” every few hundred metres. Drove it with a colleague once and told him the stories behind many of the crosses along the way. I moved because 40 mins on that highway twice a day, it was only a matter of time and I’d already lost two windscreens.

Goes to show. Don't ever try and back into a BMW like the guy in the pathfinder did. He knew he couldn't back out yet he tried anyway and then decided to get the shits with the BMW driver as if he was in the wrong. Clearly something was said for the BMW driver to react the way he did. Obviously the driver of the Nissan Pathfinder provoked him in such a way he copped a serve. Obviously the pathfinder guy thought he was something special and thought he was in the right but he wasn't. BMW driver wasn't doing anything wrong. Just was waiting in the queue. At least the BMW driver gave him the old fashioned dressing down without causing a full on punch up.

For those who wish to know what was said @ 17:17 onwards, this is it (bear in mind my lip reading is not as good as it once was.) Gentleman one (AUS shirt): "Excuse me kind sir, please move your automobile forward so I may back out." Gentleman two (BMW): "Sorry can you please repeat the question, I didn't hear you." G1: "Please move your automobile forward, so that I may leave the premises." G2: I would Love to help, but there is no room for me to move forward sorry." G1: I don't think that's correct let me look closer. G2: Oops, Sorry, you stumbled please let me help you up G1: Oh thank you kind sir, can I repay the favor some? G2: Oh I actually have a kink in my neck, can you stretch it out for me? G1: Oh certainly, let me have a look. G2: Thank you kindly, that feels much better. The kid running in the road scared the crap out of me

This morning I drove along side a lady, diminutive in stature, who was driving a massive people mover. This car was clearly too large for her to control as she could barely see over the instrument panel and drifted from lane to lane causing many another road user to flee her imminent contact. Luckily I was watching all of this in my rear view mirror as, having seen the amount of panel damage on her bus, I chose to quickly pass. She is a menace and should not possess a licence. As are many of the people featured in this compilation. Selfishness and impatience is running rampant on our roads. Good luck out there folks.

Was country driving today on a bendy, hilly and quite narrow road following a little Mitsy hatch that was being driven terribly. She would slow to almost a crawl on every corner and take it wide, almost crossing into the other lane. I couldn't believe she didn't cause an accident. Some people just shouldn't have a license

I've learned to take comfort from these videos. Being from USA, I congratulate myself that my fellow Americans are really bad drivers and I have at least a modicum of intelligence and skill for driving on the road here. When i watch DCOA, it reassures me that it's not just Americans that have idiots on the road. I feel even better. Take comfort that you're not one of the idiots in these videos. That's how I cope.

If there’s multiple lanes for turning, give the truck ALL the lanes. Car drivers can wait a whole 5 seconds, it won’t kill them.

Every time I am at the lights, I am checking both ways for that incoming T-bone red light runner. Watching these videos make you a better driver to potentially what could happen, as long as you don't get fearful.

Shocks me how so many people are willing to try turn right, flying out over multi-lane, or extremely busy road, rather than just taking the safe left turn and u-turn down the road.

Nearly killed myself laughing at the two men fighting! Just goes to show, you never know who you're messing with. Would it have killed that guy to wait one minute before backing out or is he too important to wait? Road rage caused him a lot of embarrassment! The guy in the BMW had every right to refuse to move forward - it someone rear-ended him, he would have rear-ended the car in front of him.

These people backing out of parking spots on busy streets have a sense of entitlement that people should let them in. Nope. It creates traffic problems. Don't shop there ffs

3:35 - this makes me feel correct in asking the kids I've taught to drive to reverse through a gate from an offset position. Being able to reverse through obstacles is something that's going to come up at some stage in your driving.... Such as parking like this example shows. Edit: fairly clearly this driver is unaware that the shiny surfaces on the sides of the car are for seeing what's beside and behind them... Use your side mirrors, people.

We had an exercise where we had to reverse through an obstacle course within a certain time during our ambulance driver training. You could only use your side mirrors and being in an F-250 that has the turning circle of a battleship added to the challenge. That sort of manouevre should be mandatory for every new driver. I cringe when I see anybody have to turn and look over their shoulder when reversing (like old mate at the shopping centre scuffle clip).

The house I grew up in had a driveway on a 22deg slope and was S shaped. My father wouldn’t let me go for my drivers license until I could reverse out. I had a panel van with no side windows.

BMW driver was being a dick. He could have moved forward and created enough of a gap to allow the Pathfinder to move back out of the parking spot..... it looks like there is veuy little opportunity to get out of those parking spots unless people are thoughtful........BMW........oh wait...

Where's the pathfinder gonna go if bmw moves up tho? He is still going to be hanging half assed out potentially blocking the oncoming traffic too. Just be patient Mr Pathfinder if he did spit in the sunroof then Mr Beemer went easy on him. That's putrid behaviour

@@LHyoutube No I am not the Pathfinder driver.... However there are very few who read through every comment...and fewer who respond to them. So if the same scenario gets raised by many people with the same viewpoint...and none of them think outside the box and/or read other comments...the original commenter deserves and individual answer of a different point of view????..... Being able to see that this road rage could have been deescalated by the BMW driver making even a small forward movement...which may have given the Pathfinder the out into that lane... was a possible outcome. Had the BMW driver moved forward but been unable to create enough of a gap...well at least he tried. Seeing the Pathfinder trying to get out...hopefully the next-in-line driver would allow him space after seeing the BMW made the effort...and recognising how difficult exit from those parking spots are with heavy traffic??? Especially with persons who make no effort to create space......

I would disagree normally... Starting a fight over someone asking to help get out of a bad parking spot is dumb. But in this case.... WTF did he reach into the sunroof? That's just asking to have your head kicked in - especially if kids are in the car.

@ 15:24 that truck had the right to use both lanes. Overtaking vehicles cannot overtake articulated trucks when turning.

Actually, you can pass a turning truck provided it is "safe to do so" (Road Rule 143) - clearly, it wasn't safe to do so in this incident (but DC vehicle was certainly going to give it a go as well)
