Excellent craftsmanship and build presentation. But do be careful when you land. Without rubber bands or nylon bolts to absorb impacts, your metal screw attachment system might end up tearing out and damaging your wing and/or fuselage attach points.

Thank you very much for the kind comment, its appreciated. Regarding the bolts, thats a really good point/issue that had not occured to me, so thank you :)

If you are going to lose the wing, worry about the aft portion. I've seen two wings tear out from the aft attachment, and got one on video.

A real dumb question from a newb.... You stick the image to the balsa/ plywood... Do you cut and sand Too the line or do you remove the line ???

  • @MarkRobinson555

Thats a good question, and I think you will get a different response from different people. I generally cut to just slightly more than the line, then sand to the line. I think the important thing is consistency, and checking your measurments all the time as plans are often slightly off, being streached or shrunken due to scanning and printing. Good luck with the build.

Good stuff Mark, where do you source your Balsa in Chiang Mai?

In Thailand you can buy balsa from most of the stationary shops, but also there are good suppliers in Bangkok, like ABC Flying and Mini RC, both of which will send for next day delivery for only 50-50 Baht shipping. Getting things like spruce for spars can be a bigger issue.
