Still can't believe he's gone. His voice....... sometimes I fight back tears. So sorry for his family. Love ya Daryle.

Beautiful voice. Daryle did not get the recognition he deserved. He was one of the best country musicians. He did not get very much radio play at all. So very sad because he was the best. So deeply saddened by his death. I still can't believe that he is gone. Rest in peace Daryle. You were the best. So sorry you did not get the recognition you so deserved.

In my opinion, there are only two people in the entire world who can sing this song, and one of them has already passed. Daryle has one of the most beautiful voices in country music I can just not understand why he has not got proper recognition for his God given talent.

"Golden pipes" accurately defines Daryle. Others are correct when they say he had THE BEST pure country voice in the modern era. May God bless and keep you, Daryle, and watch over your family. I pray that things work out for them.

I am a Alto singer in a working hard/ rock band for 25 years,,Daryle was one of my top 5 singers of all time,,some of my bandmates would look at me funny when I would crank Daryle Singletary, I don't care what genre of music you listen to, if you are a singer, his recordings will make you better, rip big Daryle Singletary!

I keep coming back here cause Daryle's voice evokes so many emotions from deep inside of me. He did this song so beautifully. Keep resting well sir ❤

Daryle was one of the greatest country singers and a great man

Been a Merle's fan my whole life. Was raised on it, loved him, just now hearing Daryle do footlights. I have heard bocephus. The possum, Jamey Johnson and a few other do it but nobody comes close to covering like Daryle does in this video. I think the hag would have been proud. May both of them rest in piece.

Gone too soon. Great pure country singer. Deserves lots more recognition!

Wow, big words) There is a LOT of good artists out there. But lets a least say one of the top younger artists who did traditional country music)

This is a fine song, and Darrell Singletary sings about as good as anybody could!

Sheriff Jimmy Capps Thanks for the content. I only discovered Daryle when I was in High School, through a random unmarked CD that I obtained. I'm 26 now. It's an honor to get a reply from the guy that played with him in this video, and to hear your personal observations of his character. I'm assuming that you're the gentleman playing lead guitar? Must be an awesome experience getting to be in the same room, much less playing for so many legends that gather there. You're guitar playing was pretty great. I'm an amateur at playing, myself. As an Okie somewhat near Muskogee, I really enjoyed this cover and will be revisiting this video for years to come.

After being a fan of Daryle for so long, I am still amazed at how truly underrated and underappreciated he is. I hope his unbelievable God given talent will go on to influence new generations and ignite a renaissance of Traditional Country music.

Yes he did,what a voice.just grabs you and won't let you go until the song ends This is real country with a true country singer.these so called performers in country these days couldn't get on the same stage as Darryl Singletary.
